He's going to be the perfect Grant Hill replacement for them.

Hedo better stay out of the sun in Arizona because a Turk with a tan will look a lot like a Mexican.

The Suns miss Kerr and Griffin a lot more than Portland misses KP and TP so far.

    Childress AND Barbosa....LOL

I'm not sure why the Blazers didn't go after Childress themselves. He is long enough to play the 3, and has already proven productive. I would have rather seen them go after him than Matthews.

At the time he "bolted" for Europe, some thought Childress royally crapped on Atlanta. I can't remember the specifics, though. Anyone else remember the skinny on that?

No. Two separate deals. Suns get Childress in a S&T with the Hawks, but they get Hedo's albatross contract for Leandro's expiring deal.

Yeah I remember. They tried to low ball him, so he said "fuck it" and went and earned twenty million tax free dollars.

Toronto might get rid of Hedo?

I wonder what Phoenix is thinking.

Not might, did. It's a done deal. (and I have no idea what Robert Sarver is thinking).

Phoenix likes 6'10' players who can shoot the 3. Hedo is a tough one to figure out. But he may fit in perfectly with Nash.

I did a bit of checking and was able to find this from Hollinger...

He couldn't fit in with Calderon who was less ball dominant than Nash ... it might work out, but I have a feeling what we're really talking about is a 31 year old wing player who is in a rapid and precipitous decline after peaking at around age 29 (like almost all wing players do).

According to the article, the deal is for identical amount of years and money: 5 and $35m. I haven't payed attention to Matthews, but I have a hard time believing he's actually equal. Dang.
