Re: http://www.columbian.com/weblogs/blazerbanter/2010/jul/12/blazers-contactComcast I've heard this song and dance before.

Re: http://www.columbian.com/weblogs/blazerbanter/2010/jul/12/blazers-contactComcast Just so I'm clear. Was this Lawrence Millers doing originally?
interesting. I wonder if part of the Blazers finally getting off their asses has to do with MLS next year.
Re: http://www.columbian.com/weblogs/blazerbanter/2010/jul/12/blazers-contactComcast Well, it's a good thing Brian T. Smith writes for the sports section and not the business section, because he got the stuff about the merger completely wrong. GE owns 80% of NBC at present. The proposal is that Comcast will contribute some programming assets to NBC, GE will receive some cash, and as a result, NBC will be owned 51% by Comcast and 49% by GE. Comcast and GE are not merging with NBC or with each other. What it really amounts to is Comcast buying NBC from GE. barfo
I dunno, it just could be part of it... not a good time to alienate fans or have less exposure, when a rapid growing sport and league is making its big leap in town.
Good news! I'd be real suprised if there wasnt a deal with Comcast and the Dish's before the start of the season. But you are the Einstein that thinks a guy sucks because he couldnt stop Kobe in the playoffs. I'm still laughing about that one!
I didn't say he sucks, ever. I said he isn't worth the full MLE. Reading is fundamental; perhaps you need a refresher course. Kobe had arguably his best playoff series since Shaq left with "stopper" Wesley Matthews trying to defend him. It was a post in response to a poster who compared Matthews to Bruce Bowen, or even Raja Bell, in terms of defense. Now THAT is fucking funny.
