If he's trading Sessions, Ridnour is a decent enough back up for Flynn.

Kahn is arguably the worst executive in pro sports but this move isn't so bad. Rubio is never coming over anyway.

Well, if they move Sessions, then they'd just be replacing one spot. They only have 2 PGs on the roster. 3 if you include Sessions. And Ridnour makes more sense as a backup PG, if Rubio comes over, and they can get value for Flynn.

He'll probably continue to insist on Johnny Flynn starting over him too.

Flynn is not a better point than Ridnour.

Perhaps not but that will be the arrangement, I reckon.

No, but on a rebuilding team, why play the mediocre vet when you have a second year player you just drafted and are trying to groom as your potential PG.

So groom him off the bench until he is ready, lots of players have had to earn their spots with their play.

We can just agree to disagree. If you're a shit team, and trying to groom and develop players, I don't see a point in starting someone like Ridnour over them. Who cares if Ridnour happens to win you two extra games in the grand scheme of their team. Similar to playing Magloire over Aldridge his rookie season. Was stupid, and everyone hated it.

oH NOES! Two point guards on one 15 man roster! What an idiot!

Your David Kahn hate is bordering on the absurd.

Seems like a very good signing, IMO. Ridnour had a very solid season last year in Milwaukee (17.7 PER as primarily a back-up), and I feel he's a better PG than Sessions, and even more so when you consider the offense run in Minnesota.

I would have loved to have Ridnour at $4 million/per to back-up Miller, or (drool) Chris Paul. Instead, we get an undersized SF for $9 million next season. Oh well...

and what happens with Rubio? They now have Rubio, Sessions, Flynn and Ridnour. All pick and roll PGs in a triangle offense system.

    Speaking of Kahn.

Chris Webber just punked him during an interview during the Kings-Tpups SL game.

    It was pretty funny.

Essentially he brought up how it was absurd to compare Darko and his career and how Kahn compared Darko's passing ability with Vlade Divac's. As they were wrapping up the interview Matt Winer told him good luck with everything, Webber ended it with a distant, "Yeah, good luck with that".

It was kind of awkward and I was actually embarrased for Kahn.

Gearing up to trade Rubio I would imagine. Question to more knowledgable board members. Is Flynn worth a look?

Sessions is being traded, it appears, at least according to the link some posts above. Now, if Rubio ever does sign in the next two years, Flynn is still on his rookie deal, and Rid is only a $4 million back-up for a trade.

In other words, they don't have Rubio, and they soon won't have Sessions. They probably still need to add a PG before camp.

I do find it funny that Blazer fans would be laughing about Minnesota having too many PGs.

Miller, Bayless, Mills, Johnson, Williams are all property of the Blazers right now, and I can see a scenario where we keep 5 PGs on the 15-man roster.

    I can't see that scenario.
