People on other boards were saying his rehab is behind schedule. Is this true? What was the original time line for him to be cleared to start playing again (running, 5 on 5, ect.)?

Your first mistake was going to other forums for the inside info!

I've not read anything along those lines. The little thats come out is that he's on schedule. Collectively this board does a pretty good job of linking everything written on the Blazers so you'd think we'd have caught wind of bad news and suffered a complete meltdown if something was out there

I thought he was running around like more than a week ago?

They are probably basing him being behind schedule because Greg said he was hoping to be back by the playoffs.

Well, if people on other boards say so, it must be true!

    His closer was awesome:

"Alright ya'll the questions have been great, but I gotta go hit the Blackjack tables...er...I mean work on a story."

KP to NOLA? That's gotta be part of a VAST Vulcan conspiracy to net us CP3. KP needs to shoot that icing all over the cake. Lord knows I would.

I know you're being silly, but this would be yet another absolute fail on the part of Vulcan.

Pritchard wouldn't trade Portland a virus at this point I'd imagine.

He'd probably send CP to the Lakers for a basketball just to rub it in.

This rumor is caused by a lack of publicity about Oden's progress. I wish there would be more.

For 3 years, what he does to get back into playing form has been kept a secret, then when he returns we get excited, then he soon gets injured because he isn't in shape. The media pokes their noses into everything else, but shows no curiosity about Oden's therapy or workouts. So fans naturally wonder whether it will be the same old story when he returns.

Aside from taking any "cell phone photos" I could use more info too.

I personally talked to Jay Jensen and he said Oden will be back to start the year and Pryz around 40 games.

The usual promises. After 3 years of failure, I want more detail about what he's doing.

Even if the prediction is true that he plays opening night, there is no prediction there as to whether he will be 100% or 70%--whether he will endure, or soon go down because he isn't in the very best shape--whether, as usual, he will jog with his mouth wide open with big wrinkles on his face,or run around casually and worry-free, in shape.

If predictions must replace detailed reporting, then I want detailed predictions. (That still won't make me happy. I want a critical media watching, and not just the Oregonian reporting happy little quotes about the future from the Blazer PR machine.)

Two months ago, Quick or someone said the schedule was:

July: run/jog (I read he started doing that last week)
    August: 2 on 2, 3 on 3.
    September: 5 on 5
    October: ready to go

Oden is always in rehab, and probably always will be. Every once in awhile he'll get on the court and tease us, and then it will be back to the bench, the locker room, the pool, or the rehab facility for several months.

I don't count on him any more. Wish I could.
