No, I'm not, but you apparently lack the reasoning ability to grasp this. Go back to chasing Odd's tail. If you want to chronicle my posts, go for it, but please stop making things up about what I said, or trying to make some sort of inconsistency-based that actually is not there.
Did you expect an upgrade? If you expected an upgrade, why have you been ripping on management for so long? Those are two pretty simple questions. Why you won't answer them is beyond me. Of course, you wouldn't answer the question of which available GM would be better than KP, just like you won't answer why the Blazers never sued the Grizzlies. We all change our mind, but most of us have the honesty to admit that we've changed our mind, rather than being indignant at every step of the way. Ed O.
Yep. In a bad economy, with a looming lockout, a poorly run NBA franchise (Warriors) sells for $450 million. If fans think there will be many future examples of outside hires being allowed carte blanche to fashion the team in THEIR image, they are mistaken. There is far, far too much money involved for a single individual to be able to dominate. Even billionaires sit up and take notice when the numbers run into the 9 figures.
What is the list of significant and positive accomplishments of Kevin Pritchard the last 3 years he has been on the job? What is the list of significant and negative actions of Kevin Pritchard the last 3 years he has been on the job?
Nothing. Pritchard accomplished jack shit. It was all Steve Patterson, and it's a miracle the Blazers won 50 games two years in a row with the shit players that Pritchard put on the roster. Clearly Pritchard deserved to be fired. Bright guys like you should be GMs. I do appreciate you cutting down on your usual 2000-word ramblings in this post, however.
I'm having difficultly understanding if you're simply being obtuse, or if you're just so fixated on an argument that you believe to be true, when the reality says otherwise, that you're mired in some sort of pedantic, banal, and irrelevant analysis of my posts and what you believe they say. There are no contradictions. Realities change, but my opinions have not. I'm consistent in wanting to see the Blazers win, and I'm onboard with whatever they decide to do, whether I agree with it or not.
Had a day to digest this and I'm still not all that excited. Probably not a terrible move, but I don't really see how it's this great/brilliant move some people see it as, and I'm not really sure how they can even came to that conclusion. Time will tell. Count me as not sold.
And yet you won't answer the question. It's bizarre. Did you really expect them to upgrade the GM spot? Or are you just saying that so it gives you more fuel to be angry at management? Ed O.
This is the posting of a pompas jackass. One who doesn't need to BOTHER with have a two-way conversation.
Well it's pretty obvious. It's because "You never know" and Other GM's used to be unknown too and Daryl Morey.
Right. Because every first time GM fails. Every. Single. One. How dare somebody point out facts to the contrary.
I agree they don't always fail and thats why we should hire one... Because you never know. Edit: And Daryl Morey.
Just a little fact for your argument. Only 9 current GM's held a GM job previous to their current GM job. Quick math says that's only 30%. GM experience appears to be a little over rated.
I just have a feelling this Cho fellow is going to do great things. Disagree with me, and I'll deconstruct your posts on both a macro- and micro-level, put my own spin on them, and then try to make you defend an opinion that you were never trying to make. I may even resort to name-calling if you refuse to accept things as I see them.
PapaG, I think you should strive for a more whiney, passive-aggressive posting style. You're the victim. Let it be known!
