Re: a gift for HCP - personalized animation You don't need state. In the internet version, at the bottom are pics of the of the characters, click on them and you can select from dozens. Also, in the same area you can change other things like background. Each of the setups have differing amounts of options, so you have to just play around with them. As far as State is concerned, it is much more expensive to be able to do any of the real cool things. When you download it, there are packages of options you can download for around $10 per package and so to get going you would have to buy several of those packages. The one cool option that it has however is for $10 you can buy the option to have up to 6 characters. Oh, I forgot to say, I think some or all of the packages are monthly or yearly purchaces, so I could see dropping a fair amount of money using State. And there really is no need for it for little 2 min vids. If you get some whopping good idea and want to make a 30min show, then I could see state as being worth it.
