It's been known for quite some time that Rudy Fernandez isn't a happy camper in Portland. And the Blazers appear to be working on his ticket out of town. Tweets Brian T. Smith of the Columbian on Wednesday afternoon: "Blazers are actively pursuing trade for Fernandez. Team is willing to keep Fernandez, though, and will not give him away for 'free.'" The Kings are looking for guards with a penchant for shooting, so that could be a possible landing spot for Fernandez. One other team that makes sense? The Hornets. ESPN's John Hollinger has the reasons why: - Ryan Corazza ESPN's John Hollinger
It was brought up on today's W@W show that Ronny Turiaf might be good value for Rudy...........although, the salaries don't match. OK, here's ABM's wacky trade-o-the day! http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2erxcrw
He has a scorers mentality, but you want that from your SG do you not? They call it shooting guard for a reason! For a "scorer" he has a pretty efficient stat line. .450 is pretty damn efficient for a guard, and his .374 from 3 point land isn't bad either, especially for a rookie. I think they have more concerns about his ability to play D.
I sure hope that the Blazers are able to get some sort of value for Fernandez, but with his moaning, i don't know how many teams would want him if they aren't one of the few he listed. Why trade for a player that is just going to piss and moan or perhaps sit out. by the way, here is my new vid of Rudy Fernandez demanding a trade from Larry Miller
