You tricked me. I thought this was a reasonable article, I looked past the writer for a minute so I guess I tricked myself. Fucking idiot wants to trade Oden. All the people who want to trade Oden ought to re-evaluate their position seeing as it is the same as this genius.
Oh, so all it takes is a pair of expirings to get Paul? Fuck! Why didn't I think of that? Man, if only Allen had hired this guy to run his team instead of this clown Cho, we might be going places.
I challenge Crapzano to get a clue! Does this douchebag really think that Paul, Cho, and his staff arent doing everything they can to get CP3? within reason. Everyone who disses on Crapzano gets rep from me!
I challenge Canzano to shoot for bigger and brighter things... specifically landing a new gig writing for the Miami Herald. Come on JC, stop wimping out. Go for it! STOMP
This reminds me of the 'draft the stash' stance that got Ian fired from radio broadcasting in Portland.
First, I did not realize Paul Allen's reputation needed rehab. Second, I know Paul Allen is really really rich. If people know one thing about Paul Allen it's that he's really really rich. Not sure what the submarine has to do with trading for Chris Paul, though. Maybe Paul Allen can offer him a ride on it? Third, as has been said, the Blazers will do all they can to land Chris Paul, within reason. And they have a lot to offer the Hornets & Chris Paul. But I think I can safely say it won't be Greg Oden. Why? Because of all the Blazers Oden is the one who would probably benefit most from being in a line-up with Chris Paul. And Chris Paul, being by all accounts a smart guy, probably knows that. Fourth, if the Blazers are willing to offer anyone but Aldridge, Roy & Oden, and if the Hornets say no or Chris Paul decides he'd prefer bright lights and big cities with a worse team, or being part of the team that will forevermore be #2 in Florida, is that Paul Allen's fault? (All these Pauls, gets confusing! Hopefully the team will not also trade for Paul Pierce!) Well, Crapanzo would say so. But if wishes and money could buy it, the Blazers would have it (any it you want). Stomp, repped!
I think that difference makes it even worse; at least Canzano was taking a stand with Morrison. With Paul, it's like saying, "you have to get good player to play on your team in order to win!" like that's not the most fixing obvious thing in the world. WTF? Captain Obvious called, he wants his schtick back! All this is doing is setting up an implication that, if Paul doesn't sign with us, it's somehow the fault of Allen and The Vulcans, or Cho... Not because NOH doesn't want to deal or they like some other team made a better offer. Oh no, definitely Paul Allen's fault.
Here's the actual quote: Meaning, would you give up the promise and potential of, say, Greg Oden and risk a chorus of laughter and humiliation should your former No. 1 pick develop if that's what New Orleans asked for as the final piece to a multiplayer deal? I would. But only if that's what it took to get Paul. -- You honestly disagree with that? Personally, I think it will take Oden to get the deal done, I don't think Batum is enough. So...if it comes down to Oden or Chris Paul...I'd go with Chris Paul. Wouldn't you?
Agreed. The only chance we trade Oden is for Dwight, and if Oden blows up this season, I trade him for no one. If he gets traded with Batum for CP3, we'll regret it big time. I'd get rid of Roy and Batum before I get rid of Oden.
I can *almost* feel pity for Crapzano. Think about it....the poor guy is a gossip columnist...AND regarded as one of the best at that job by his peers! I would rather be a prop master on a porno movie, than admit to having his life. Just when it seems life can't get any worse, he discovers that his twin brother has landed a cozy gig dangling between Oden's legs. It's kind of surprising the poor guy hasn't just lit himself on fire.
What I meant was that there were a few quotes from Canzanno that were so idiotic that it makes me wonder how it is he's able to stay employed.
In an effort not to derail this thread (more posts were about the discussion on homophobia than the original subject), I've moved those posts to a new thread in the Off-Topic forum: http://sportstwo.com/threads/165681-What-constitutes-homophobia-A-scholarly-debate So nothing has been lost and it can continue to be debated, if desired.
I'm pretty sure the term "Ass Clown" was invented to describe John Canzano. He "challenges" Paul Allen to get Chris Paul? I just don't know what Paul Allen would do without Canzano's insight. Oh yeah, he'd draft Pooh, Stache and May. Awesome.
