I just got done listening to it an hour ago and I can honestly tell you that I remember almost none of it, except that Nate was interviewed, Buck was interviewed and Wesley Matthews was interviewed ... if you are really jonesing to hear it, wait a couple of days and get it on Itunes.

Wes sounded splendid, as usual. I hope he plays as well as he speaks.

That's all I remember honestly. Nothing of importance was said.

Thanks, guys - I appreciate at least knowing there wasn't much of value there. I can file it in "garbage" with 99.99% of all other Courtsides.

Though, fluff or not, I may have to give it a listen for the interviews with Matthews (count me in his fan club - I really like this kid) and Williams (God it's great to have him back in Portland).

I enjoyed the interview with Buck Williams too. While they want all the assistant coaches to work with all the players, he obviously is going to work the most with the bigs. Add a little toughness!

I agree about Matthews, he gives a very impressive interview and seems to be mature and confident beyond his years ... kind of the anti-Martell.

I agree. I'm not usually one to get my hopes up (i.e. I have never thought we had a significant change to get CP3 and refuse to get caught up in it), but I think Wes may blow up here, especially if we get a top-tier PG and can run a 3-guard rotation with Wes, Roy, new PG.

Oh, and Nik, love the new avatar. Emo Rudy? Fruity Rudy?

Should at least give credit to Fogojam for his artistry. Weiner.

All respect to Fogojam ... I was never implying it was my creation.

I don't know if toughness and Aldridge can be used in the same sentence.

More than that, I don't believe coaches can impart toughness as a skill ... you either are tough or you aren't.

I don't completely agree. Now if you are talking about being a mean player maybe, but you can show how to play tough. Not to give a inch. LA looked at the end of the season to be a bit tougher and playing inside more.

You definetly can make a player tougher. Toughness is an attitude that can be developed. Buck and LMA will watch films and when Buck looks at LMA and asks him why he would let that little bitch get a rebound over him instead of fighting for the rebound, it just might change LMA attitude. I am not saying Buck can change LMA into the biggest bad ass in the league, but a coach can add toughness to a player.
