Two articles on the Arsenal.com splash page tell you all you need to know about Barcelona's attempts to lure Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas away from Emirates: he is still the captain and he is not being sold under any circumstances.

    1) Wenger - Cesc must show he is a champion
    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-fabregas-must-show-he-is-a-champion

    2) Wenger - We will not negotiate over Fabregas
    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/33730/wenger-fabregas-must-show-he-is-a-champion

    Case closed.

Obviously this will not deter the twats at Barca in the slightest since they operate without any semblance of class, but it should cool the jets of any pundits and chicken little fans who think something is inevitable. It isn't.

Anyway, this better be the last thing I hear about this shit. Unless it involves Cesc telling the world how much he loves Arsenal and that he's staying here until he's 80 or something.

Funny how fifa just sit back and enjoy Barca and Real madrid unsettle other team's player, but when an english club does it, they go and punish them hard, like chelsea had a transfer embargo for stepping out of line.

Hoping Arsenal will make an official complaint. I think they will after Fabregas leaves.

We might get 40m+ as well as any fines they owe us! Wishful thinking.

Fuck that I want to bleed those barca twats dry. At the very least 50M plus future incentives. If they really want their beloved player so bad, they need to show it. At least Real Madrid unsettle other team's players but end up paying a right price. These barca twats think they deserve to get all the best players in the world for cheap because they are so good.

Wenger has told Fabregas that is it now in his hands to end the Basura speculation.

If you want my opinion, I think that's a very very intelligent move by Wenger. Then again, he has handled this whole ordeal very well.

The problem is that under wenger we rarely make much profit from players, we usually sell them cheap, just look at Henry, he was worth more in my opinion and we paid almost the same for eduardo.

Hm, I don't know if I can agree. There were certain players we could of made more money off of but look at Toure, Adebayor, Anelka...

Out of those Anelka was the most profitable sale, the rest could have gone a bit higher, Adebuywhore could have been sold to Milan or Barca for a bit higher a season before he left to shitty and so was Toure but we chose the wrong time to let them go. Even the shitty spurs have been better at selling flops like berbawank and carrick for stupid prices.

Yes, but they tend to negate their profits by rebuying the player next season (Defoe, Keane...)

Denilson (of all people) spoke out against Barca's nonsense and in favour of Cesc staying with the squad the other day. Thanks.
