How long have you been a fan? How'd you become a fan?
    Who's your favorite player?
    Who's your all-time favorite player?
Who's your current favorite Browns player?
Who's your all-time favorite Browns player?
What's your most memorable Browns play?
Do you like Holmgren's decisions thus far?
Why does our team continue to suck year after year after year?
Why do we have so many homers who choose not to believe that we have a lot of players who are nothing but fool's gold?
At the same time, why do we have the strongest group of fans despite many many years of heartbreak?
How long until we reach the playoffs again?
Who would you like (realistically) to coach the Browns when Mangini is (inevitably) fired?

More to come when I'm not so tired.

How long have you been a fan? How'd you become a fan? Stepfather was born and raised in Cleveland. When he met my mom in Chicago when I was 7, I distinctly remember him wearing a Browns jersey and he kinda brainwashed me into being a fan. Was an admirer before, but became a fan when I met him.

Who's your favorite player? Randy Moss. There's never been a more physically dominant WR, nay, player in the history of football like him. In his physical prime, he ran faster, made quicker cuts, jumped higher, had longer arms, bigger hands, and taller than everyone else. If he had 1/10th the work ethic of Jerry Rice, he'd easily be the greatest receiver ever.

Who's your all-time favorite player? Barry Sanders. He was the Jim Brown of our time.

Who's your current favorite Browns player? Colt McCoy. I'm beginning to have faith in him. More than likely he'll disappoint me, but God I hope I'm wrong.

Who's your all-time favorite Browns player? Jim Brown would be too easy an answer, I wasn't around during his time. I'd have to go with Be'rnie Kosar: He's everything that I love in a football player, from a longtime fan of the team before he ever played for them, to being a blue-collar, hardworking QB who never gave up.

What's your most memorable Browns play? The fumble. My stepdad would watc that game even 20 years later. Sad.

Do you like Holmgren's decisions thus far? Keeping Mangini for one year is a good plan to maintain stability within this decrepit team. Heckert is a great evaluator of talent so he was a great addition. I like the drafting of blue-collar guys. Delhomme is suspect but he's merely a stepping stone in the right direction. He won't be here for too long, and might be overtaken by another QB (hopefully). I'd grade Holmgren a B- thus far.

Why does our team continue to suck year after year after year? Because we got spoiled by Jim Brown during football's golden age.

Why do we have so many homers who choose not to believe that we have a lot of players who are nothing but fool's gold? That's why it's hard to join Browns forums, because a lot of them have the same boring opinion.

At the same time, why do we have the strongest group of fans despite many many years of heartbreak? Oddly enough, it would be the reason above.

How long until we reach the playoffs again?4-5 years (to actually become a contender) at the earliest. (Read '5 year plan' thread')

Who would you like (realistically) to coach the Browns when Mangini is (inevitably) fired? Jon Gruden. All signs point to him being the coach and I LOVE it. He's been a longtime fan of the Browns, still avidly follows them, and has a close relationship with Mike Holmgren. He's young, enthusiastic and actually KNOWS football. Kinda disappointed he didn't coach the Browns this year but I trust Holmgren.

Turnarounds in this league take 2-3 years any more, and teams can fall apart even faster. In this division, it'll be somewhat tougher than average to rebuild, but it's still doable. We run the ball well, we're starting to show signs of stopping the run, we're not that far away.

I agree that we could become a playoff team in 2 years, but we play in arguably the toughest division with the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals. It's tough leap-frogging ahead of those teams. Baltimores got a great young core, the Steelers are in their prime, and the Bengals are getting guys out of the woodworks. I just don't see how we can go from a team thats one meltdown away from tanking to a legit contender in 2 years.

But like I said, I hope you're right.
