Keep his ass. We WON'T get anything back that could help us as much as he could! They are waiting for him to kill at the Worlds and raise his trade value anyway!

I think there is some danger in waiting too long to move Rudy. If you can get a 1st round pick, or put him in a good package, our GM should do it. Rudy's value will go down to nothing if he opens up his trap and says he will hold out this season, which is always a chance. If the rumored offers are true, we should move him.

Wait until after Worlds then trade him. He won't instantly smite Portland after Worlds, do it then when his value is highest.

This means you're assuming he'll star again at the worlds?

I wonder if Cho is too cautious about getting perfect value in return. Sometimes it's addition by subtraction. If we have to find SG minutes for 4 players this will be a mess. And rotations are Nate's weakest aspect as a coach.

Who says we have to find minutes for Rook's?

Call me naive but I believe if we are rolling over teams with our first unit, and Rudy can lead the charge with a second unit (less pressure) I think Rudy can be happy until we find a trade that really works

We just fired a GM who makes one trade every 2 years, and everyone demands Instant Rice from Mr. Moto.

Are you ever factual? Not that I mind the hyperbole, but is that your schtick here?

You're right, his name isn't really Moto.

What a jumble. It's a rather moot point.

    Interesting situation with the Worlds.

If the root of the problem is Rudy's back, he will be exposed at the Worlds, and his trade value will be zilch.

OTOH, if he kicks butt, the implication is that he was sand-bagging it in Portland, and the fans are justified in wanting to tar-and-feather him.......but at least the team might be able to trade him for value.

I think the team would know if Rudy's back was really in that bad of shape, and would have traded him by now. I think they suspect he will tear shit up, because they know that Rudy wants to get out of town just as badly as we want to trade him, so he will WANT to show he's still a star.

Actually, that's a funny line. And I see some meaning in it.

It was quasi funny. (I suppose you'd have to think about that one. My attempt at humor gets a bit obscure at times.)

Or that he really did have back problems last season and is now healed up and better able to preform at the Worlds??
