Kelly Dwyer has ranked the top 25 players at each position this week. His lists are great and I find myself unable to argue with his selections. Where we disagree (Dwyane Wade above Kobe Braynt) I accept his reasoning. Tyreke Evans 8. Stephen Jackson 9. Jason Richardson 10. Kevin Martin I was among the group this summer who argued that Deng's play was roughly equivalent to Joe Johnson's. If Deng stays healthy I think he could very well have a more productive season. At the same time, Joe Johnson's placement at four is just about right. The bottom line is there are a ton of mediocre shooting guards and few stars. Conventional wisdom is that its harder to find quality big men like Taj Gibson than it is to find a similar quality player in the backcourt. I'm not sure that's true anymore if it ever was. I think you have to consider shipping Taj and picks and whatever else Memphis may want if you get a shot at a young off guard like Henry, who put up great numbers on a talented team his Freshman year.

I think it is still harder to find quality big men, and now with the way talent gets developed and guys only going one year to college it's harder to find quality at any position.
I stopped reading that idiot Dwyers articles after I saw his horrible Player of the Decade list. He had KG and Duncan over Kobe and Dirk and LeBron over Shaq. The guy is a moron. Wade isn't even better than Durant, he sure as hell ain't better than Kobe. Kobe is the best player in the game and a top 5 player off all time.
Since it's so hard to find quality big men, maybe you'll agree that getting more than one with this round of cap space might not be such a bad idea.
LeBron, Wade, CP3 if healthy, then Kobe or Durant or Howard. Kobe's easily not in his prime and he's banged up. Wade is easily better than Kobe now, and is still better than Durant. He had Shaq low because Shaq's prime is from the early 1990s, to about 2004. Thus he doesn't have his best years in this decade. I could make a case for Kobe over KG though, however he got most of the list right.
Sure, the bulls have 3 now. Thomas is old but solid and Asik is showing signs. But you can never have enough PF's, right?
