College or Pro football? I'm kind of wishy washy. I like the skill level of the NFL and the size of the players, but hate some of the rules, especially overtime. In college, I like the tradition, the atmosphere, the fact that every game is of great importance and their overtime is superior to the NFL. But, I hate the politics of the college game and the BCS.
I'd like college ball more if they switched to a pro shaped football. I hate watching blimp ball wobbling through the air.
I like the style and variety in the college game. You simply don't see creative coaching like the hook-and-ladder designs or having some of those plays where three players converge and they pass the ball around and shoot out and you don't know who has the ball. Much more entertaining to see the different designs being created out there by offensive coordinators. The NFL game is very predictable and coaches always play to kill clock in the NFL, as where the college game is more about passing in the final minutes so you kill the clock yourself and not have to punt. But then the college game has no playoff structure and loses pretty much any reason to exist when they play all of those games and end up basically with rankings systems deciding who #1 & #2 are instead of letting a bracket decide who the best is.
Pros for me. I like college ball, but it's too much of a sham, especially when you have a corrupt BCS system that refuses to create a real playoff system because of the cash cow nature of bowl games and the habit of power-house teams scheduling cupcakes to pad their record.
Did you know they changed the OT rules in the NFL? I hated the old "sudden death" rules, like the new ones.
btw, it's Pro by far for me. I would choose suicide over college football. I hate all college sports.
Pro football, by a lot. I do love the college style of overtime. I know the NFL moved closer to it, which is nice.
I like college football better. I love pro football, but the atmosphere at big-time college games is superior imo.
