Exactly. Unless Greg Oden is the most cursed player in NBA history, he is due to play ~70 games this season. It will be fun to see him develop over that many games this year.

I said this exact same thing to a friend of mine who is a Bulls fan, he was talking about how Chicago's defense should be much better this next year with Tom Thibodeau as the head coach.

I proceeded to give him that defensive line-up, he was speechless.

    Oden-Camby-Batum-Matthews-Roy? That's intimidation right there.

Hopefully Roy will concentrate a little more on D. We all know he can be good on D, he just usually saves all his energy for O.

You remember a couple years back when he literally shut Joe Johnson down at the end of an awesome comeback game in the Rose Garden?

It's bittersweet, because I haven't seen that kind of D from him since then. >_<

I remember tell my friend "HA and you said Roy's D was as good if not worse then Randolphs!" after that game.

I sure hope that you are right and I'm wrong. Nothing would make me happier.

However . . . yes, I think Oden will have another injury-plaqued season, and probably go down in a heap at some point. He is just an extremely fragile guy, and the NBA is a rough and tumble game. He is destined for the bench for most of his career, it seems to me.

Agreed. We've all had so much disappointment with Oden that it would be horrible to see him go down again. However, I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before it happens. I know people get pissed off when I say that, but it's just my opinion. I hope I am dead wrong.

    Go Blazers!!
