LMA just said the reason he didn't play for Team USA is that he stayed home to be with his mother while she was fighting breast cancer. Nice.
So let me get this right, because this is the first time LA has even mentioned the actual reason he missed the national team this summer, they (incluiding me) suck? Ha ha ha ok whatever. Maybe if he had said that from the start, the fans would be much more understanding, and maybe if he had actually improved over his first 3 years in the league, fans wouldn't be yearning for him to do anything to improve that they question his work ethic.
whether or not he improved. What he talked about goes way Way WAY beyond the game of Basketball. But yes it does make the people who called for his head, look like assholes.
and I'm referring to those who flipped out over him declining to work out with team USA. As thats what the interview was directed at more.
I'll pick agility and ability over brawn and brainless any-day. You people that compare him to a traditional 4 are ridiculous
I'm just curious... what would be your definition of a traditional four? I think that term has evolved many times in the last three or four decades.
I agree wholeheartedly, I don't understand why it's soo easy for some people to pass judgment before they have an basis whatsoever.
Agreed. Especially since several posters pointed out it was most likely a family situation, although I assumed it was concerning his son he doesn't get to see often during the season.
The information wasn't available. The only way to make a logical decision is with all the available information. Had this information been available BEFORE people started hated on him, you would have a point.
It shows that they were incorrect in their assumption but it does make them assholes. People just get overly sensitive because now you know it was because of his mom.
If you accuse someone of something without knowing the reasons, and defend it by "I just know he is a softie", or, "He just does not care" - than yes, they are assholes. There is a difference between being wrong about assumptions and accusing people of things with no real knowledge.
