Many of the crawfish/crab/seafood boil type places are owned by vietnamese. I don't know if they just have a good distribution or if the shared heritage of french influence of Vietnam and Cajun/Creole cooking has to do with it. Its kind of strange, all the crawfish joints here in LA and some in seattle are all vietnamese owned.

I know you guys are not going to know what I'm talking about, but coming from the Chicago area, Chicago Style Pizza is where its at. Maurie's Table, if you EVER are in the city of Joliet, Illinois. Find it.

Oregon City, Mollala, Estacada is the scum of Oregon. I try to stay away as much as possible. But, I love Peruvian food. I had a friend growing up who's grandma lived with him and she was from Peru. I ate dinner there quite a bit and it was off the hook.

I'm not big on Chicago Style Pizza, but the one time I was in Chicago I ate at a really good Prime Rib place.

I also was on the same plane with Antoine Walker and Tony Atlas, it was when Walker got really fat.

I was going to have a Lou Malnatis pizza shipped to me but I read reviews that said it's just not the same after being shipped. So what's the point.

I saw a segment on Travel Channell for a restaurant called The Wiener's Circle somewhere in Chicago? Ever been there? Apparently it's some sort of after-bar ritual.

Nothing is better than a good dog after you've been getting fucked up all night. Same with Taco Bell.

Chicago is a deadly town with all their food. holy shit. love it though. Usually get from Giordianos or Geno's East...saw a segment on diners drive ins and dives for some chicago pizza...Joliet is kind of far, I have relatives in St. Charles/Geneva. might go there next year.

I remember we spent an hour looking for Capone's steakhouse....before the days of GPS or internet phones.

So true. Stumbling out onto the street at 2am and seeing a hot dog cart is pure joy. I don't see that much in Portland, but in Bend there is a guy who runs a cart on Friday and Saturday nights. Great dogs.

In LA we have Tijuana Dogs. Those are grubbing, they kind of undercook them. bacon wrapped hot dogs cooked up on little carts...pretty ghetto shit.

I try not to do them, like sit-down joints better. not nearly as good as the late night chicago dogs.
