    This is going to sound callous, but they need to cut him. Today. Pay him his full year's salary, let him have full access to team resources for his rehab, but open up the roster spot for another big man. There is no reason to keep him on the roster.

    While it seems like a harsh action to take, it may be the only way to open up a roster spot for a replacement big.
