So, Matthews purchased KP's former L.O. home?

    Nice!

Maybe the job got to him. I'm just going off my experience with KP back when he was I think the Director of Player Personnel. It's possible that his success as GM changed him, but I doubt it.

What's your recent experience with Canzano? I liked the guy a few years ago when I spent a good half-hour sitting next to him on a small plane.

I remember when Quick used to mess around with the media relations girl. I think they went out on a date, next thing you know she was canned in the offseason.

Can't remember her name, just remember she had huge hips.

Was she the one who wore knee high boots all the time?

I ran into him at thirsty Thursday one time at PGE park. It was after one of his many, Mark Few to Oregon columns and I told him one of the many reasons why Few isn't going to Oregon and that I had emailed him about it. It was almost as if I had called him out and he was put on the spot. He remembered me from email and the conversation ended awkwardly.

lol, that was her. She was always swinging her hips around, I thought she was gonna put someones eye out. The Colin Romer took her job the next year. I might have been a "little security guy" but I saw the in's and outs of that regime.

I have zero problem not being loved by Bill Simmons. I look forward to him eating his words. We do a lot of bitching, but we have a kickass team. We're going to win a lot of games and are going deep into the playoffs.

What do you guys think about his claim that Pippen was a top 4 player in the league? Maybe in 1994 but otherwise, can you pick 4 players that were better than him during His heyday with the Bulls? I can. Jordan, Hakeem, Malone, Barkley. Nevermind Stockton, Ewing, and David Robinson. Thoughts?

By the way, I love reading Bill Simmons' columns. I don't understand what so many of you have against him.

Simmons is like a shock jock, I take him at face value. He is, what he is.

He always brings the funny and occasionally he has an insight. I read him for laughs, not basketball knowledge.

I imagine I'd feel awkward as well when confronted with a guy who may be a stalker.

There are a lot of frustrated "writers" on this board and in this community. I consider myself a mere poster on a board, so I enjoy all of the articles related to the Blazers, and I take what info I can from each author.

I'm not a "writer". I'm a "student". Although I do write papers and essays for homework, so I guess you could call me a writer, and a frustrated one at that!

Drexler and Pippen were fairly similar caliber, IMO (in terms of their primes, of course, not just their Portland tenures). I'd rank Pippen a bit ahead of Drexler, but I can understand someone ranking Drexler ahead.

As far as KingSpeed's list, I'd place Jordan, Olajuwon, Malone and Robinson definitely ahead of Pippen. Barkley, Stockton and Ewing I wouldn't.

I'd place Stockton ahead of Pippen. Stockton is arguably the best PG to play the game.

I don't consider him anywhere close to the best. I'd place Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson way ahead of him. After that, he may be third-best, but I think it's between him and Gary Payton.

If Chris Paul keeps playing at this level, though, he's going to be #3 of all-time, IMO.

I think Pippen and Stockton are in the same general tier of all-time greats.
