That's true, but I hate it. We're going to Madison, WI next year and I'm already looking forward to that trip!
I've heard Madison's a blast. Especially if you love partaking in binge drinking. Its somewhere I definitely want to go some day. However, I'm not sure how good of a craigslist adult section they have. Just a heads up.
Beating a so-so ASU team, and a bad WSU team, and Stanford ( at home ) isn't nearly impressive as Duck fans think. Now if they go onto beat UCLA next week, and USC the week after? That would be a much stronger argument to make. But right now, they've faced 1 ranked team, at home, and beat them. OSU has faced 3 ranked teams (including 2 in the top 5), all on the road. They lost the first two obviously, but I propose that the Arizona win was more impressive than any win the Ducks have had. I'm not saying the Beavers should be ranked higher than the Ducks (far from it). I'm also not saying that the Beavers are a better team (again, they aren't). Re: Strength of Schedules. Although I don't know good this guy is, I did find this. http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2010/June10/DBJune07.html he has Oregon 55th for "S.O.S.", but Ohio State is even worse!
I have a gut feeling that the Dawgs are going to beat the Beavs today. I don't know why, but its just that hunch. Seems like the bookies agree with me, I just checked and UW is a 1 point favorite.
You can't really blame Oregon for scheduling. Those things are done a few years in advance, Tennessee is perennially a solid SEC team. We just happened to play them at their place during a horrible year for them, but they took care of business. Arizona St. is a little better team than a lot think. They were a missed extra point away from possibly beating Wisconsin in Madison a few weeks ago. The same Wisconsin team that is crushing #1 Ohio St. It just goes to show how wild college football can be.
USC is still a team with 4&5 star athletes at least 2 deep at every position. They just have to find motivation to play. I think they're by far the most talented team in the PAC-10 and are the team to beat.
A plethora of those 4&5 star recruits left after the sanctions came down. Not giving USC as much depth as they had originally.
They were 3 and 4 deep with those athletes. They're left 2 deep. Recently they have placed players in the NFL that couldn't get off the bench.
Badgers just knocked one through the up rights. "Thats right folks", says the old crusty Musberger. "Upset city".
