I have a BMW 2002 from 1972 in Oregon. Anyone know a good mechanic that can fix it?

Either Gary from Boyd or Mike O'hara would do a fine job on it.

Both Gary and Mike are on the East side, a bit far from Beaverton, but they are good and know what to do with these cars.

On the west - Motorsports International over at 12930 NW Cornell is good, but they are not classic BMW experts.

Up to you really and depends on what the car needs. If it is nothing complicated, keep it close. If it is a bit more complicated stuff - go to the experts.

I am married with kids.

The wife and I both drive Subarus when we need to carry kids around. She has a newish 2008 one, I have a 2001 coupe with a backseat that can be used to take kids. But I have toy cars that I drive anytime I do not need to drive kids around.

Actually, my Subaru is also good for racing in the dirt... - this is how it looked like after last Sunday's event...

 

Have you ever seen Mike's old "BMW 2002 truck"?

It's an old '02 that someone (not Mike, he bought it like that) converted to a pickup that he uses as his parts hauler...

 

I used to detail that car for about 5 years!

 

I managed a detail shop and we had accounts with Rassmussen and Ron Tonkin Grand Torrismo.

 

I love mine though! 4.2L V8 Audi A6! Doesn't rally like some of my older cars, but with the wife and kids those days are over. I like just "rollin" nowadays.
