    Cal's schedule to date...

    Sat, Sept 4 vsUC Davis W52-3 1-0 (0-0)
    Sat, Sept 11 vsColorado W52-7 2-0 (0-0)
    Fri, Sept 17 @Nevada L52-31 2-1 (0-0)
    Sat, Sept 25 @#14 Arizona L10-9 2-2 (0-1)
    Sat, Oct 9 vsUCLA W35-7 3-2 (1-1)
    Sat, Oct 16 @USC L48-14 3-3 (1-2)

They got beat down at USC and Nevada and lost a tight one at Arizona. They clobbered the other 3 teams they've played in Berkeley. They're actually a pretty decent team and they usually play the Ducks well at Cal.

I don't want to offend you, but I feel like most Duck fans just don't know much about college football.

And Beaver fans do? I spent a lot of time in Corvallis when most of my buddies were in College and I can tell you right now that your generalization about Ducks fans is pretty ridiculous. I can make some pretty big generalizations about Beaver alumni as well. ;)

I don't think we have as many bandwagon fans as the Ducks. That's what happens when you're suddenly perceived as a national power as the Ducks are. People come out of the woodwork to be Duck fans. They generally know very little about the sport, but these people are down with it because it's the in thing to do.

Better teams have more bandwagon fans. While that may make the percentage of knowledgeable Duck fans lower, it's an unfair generalization.

Lol they haven't won a game against a team with a winning record. Yet, you think they are pretty decent team. Then the next post you bash Ducks fans about not being knowledgeable about the game? Irony at its finest.

You said, and I quote, that Cal sucks and is brutal this year. I believe the evidence indicates otherwise. They lost by one point at #14 Arizona and beat the crap out of UCLA the week after UCLA beat down Texas. How long have you been a Duck fan anyway?

I guess I could understand that position. I know some people who follow the Ducks because we don't have an NFL team.

I mean how long has HCP been a Duck fan? This season is the first I've heard of it.

Dude, what part of the fact that Cal hasn't beat a team with a winning record dont you understand? Arizona has shown me all I need to know, they lost at home to unranked OSU team.

I've been a fan of the Ducks since 94' when Danny O'Neil was the QB and we lost to Penn St. in the Rose Bowl. Some of my favorite Ducks to this day were on those teams, Christian McLemore, Cota and Graziani.

I probably have more knowledge about OSU football than you do and I'm not even a fan.

Come on dude. You don't want to go there.

I apologize for questioning the length of your commitment to the Ducks. I meant no harm

I still don't agree with your conclusion regarding Cal. Let's see what happens when you go to Berkeley.

No doubt. I mean if Duck fans can't maintain their focus on a game to game basis how can you expect the team to?

Berkley has some players but as long as the Ducks don't shit the bed they should win that game.

USC is going to be the test. Oregon has the edge in talent against every team they play except USC. Matt Barkley is really, really good and they have weapons. It'll be a tough game under the lights.
