I know there are different fantasy leagues (head to head, points only, etc) We play a points only , have been for about 10 years, but those web sites with their rankings don't really help, because they aren't necessarily aimed towards a points only league. Our league is on Yahoo. Wondering if you guys knew of a site where I can enter in our league dynamics and scoring system and get player rankings that would be helpful for me.

No, it's 1 point for points....... 2 points for reb, stl, assists, blocks, and -1 for TO's.

Looks like these folks do it, but only via a subscription. http://basketballmonster.com/

My experience in fantasy sports is you will usually have to pay for customized rankings.

There is a simple philosophy that I follow when playing fantasy hoops. Draft players that can play multiple positions, and players that fill up the stat line. Especially if you don't count FG% or FT%. There are the Kobe's and Wade's, but it's the Iguodala's you can pick up a little later that will bring you fantasy gold. Also, be willing to completely ignore TO's. If you accumulate your pts every where else, the TO's don't matter. Here was my Championship team from last year:

    Jamal Crawford
    Channing Frye
    Danny Granger
    Andre Iguodala
    Richard Jefferson
    Jason Kidd
    David Lee
    Corey Maggette
    Troy Murphy
    Mehmet Okur
    Jason Richardson
    Josh Smith
    Jason Terry
    Dwayne Wade

I actually one last year and was 2 the season before. We have pretty much the same 10-11 guys every season. Ya the stat fillers are great. I won last season because I got Gerald Wallace in the 3rd round, Monta Ellis in the 4th and ZBO in the 6th.

There's an easy way to do this. You simply export everyone's stats from Yahoo to an Excel spreadsheet. You convert everyones stats to 82 games and then assign 1 pt for each point scored (obvious enough) and 2 pts for each of your other stats, and the -1 for each TO. Then you have the totals for all of the starting players (or maybe just the top 100 or whatever amount of players you'll draft down to in your league.

From there, you simply rank them from 1 to 100 in each of those categories, then provide a total average ranking for each player. This really only would take an hour or so from beginning to end with such simplistic scoring. You now would have the ranked average from the guy who will give you the most points every week from the guys that give the least.

You want to hire me out to do that for you just send me a PM.
