Miller + Joel for Varejao and Mo Williams. The Cavs absolutely SHOULD do that because they SHOULD unload Williams (who famously considered retiring when he heard, along with the rest of us while watching "The Decision" that James was leaving) and Varejao, who are great pieces in a contender but not players you want to build a team around, and who have LONG contracts. It still works if you throw in Bayless, which I would be more than happy to do. Then: Brandon's happy, because Mo W. works with him perfectly (and he can pretend he's LeBron) We get the perfect backup to Camby and Aldridge, and possibly Rudy is happier, because Portuguese is PRACTICALLY Spanish... (and didn't Varejao play in Spain?) BUT, supposedly the Cavs "want a superstar in return". Yeah. Good luck with THAT.
I personally think it is a very good idea to have player who have a vendetta when playing against Lebron. I remember when Shaq left Orlando, for a few years there Nick Anderson lit him and LA's ass up every time they came into town. A little hate can go a long ways.
I would love getting Varejao. Remember how badly Cleveland played when he was holding out for a better contract three seasons ago? He is a fantastic defensive big man and he can play PF and C. I'd give up anyone but Roy, Batum, Oden, Aldridge, or Matthews.
The most annoying player in the league. He's right up there with Vlade Divac for all-time best flopper. Having said that, I'd love him on this team. Our second unit with would fun to watch.
Mo's good, and I'd take him over Miller, but let's not go overboard here. Mo's defense isn't a "perfect" match, since we'd have no guards in the top 3 who care about guarding anyone.
True nuff, but when we're comparing him to Dre' are we missing much? Even though Miller is willing to defend, the flesh is weak so to speak.
I'd rather have Boobie Gibson for the price that we'd have to give up to get Mo. Gibson is a very reliable 3 point shooter and has done so on a big stage. Good fit for what were looking for without maybe the ego that Mo has.
