Cho must think NO really sucks if he values a first rounder THAT much.

His Spreadsheet (NBA 2k11 trade machine) said it would work.

Good luck to Jerryd. It's good that he already knows the coach, and it's a good sign that Monty wanted him.

Of course, what nobody's said yet, is that this is all part of the inevitable trade that brings us CHRIS PAUL!!!!!!

NOH's web site lists 15 players on the roster. Wonder if they are going to cut someone or if this is the first domino falling...

Paul is going to be out of NO one way or another by the end of his current contract. Throw in the likely upcoming lockout, and this could be a good move down the road, unless for some reason the pick is lottery protected. Top 5 protected? Sure, I could see that as being reasonable.

Maybe a 'first round pick" is actually "Chris Paul".......

I approve of this trade (because, after all, I asked for it). I think it's actually more likely to clear up PT for Rudy and Matthews than it is Armon. Roy will probably be our backup PG and this will lessen the time that Roy and Miller spend on the court together.

But who goes out of Pendy and Patty?

Fuck, Cho. WTF are you doing?

Do you realize that we're in a win now mode?

I don't see how you can approve of this trade.... trading Bayless, fine, but for a future first round pick? You think that's a good move?

Are you fucking kidding? You honestly think the team isn't expecting to make the playoffs? That's idiotic. Bayless was not good in most of the games he played. Who plays PG if Miller goes down? We have Johnson, who is actually a PG not a SG. And Matthews can easily play alongside Roy at PG. Oh and I forgot to mention that Miller NEVER goes down.

Portland still has 18 players listed on their roster according to NBA.com, but then again, Sykes and Hill are on it, and we know they have been waived. I'm going to guess that a cheap owner like Shinn has at least one non-guaranteed player on his training camp roster.

Armon Johnson has been looking SOOOOOOO good, I think the writing was on the wall. Might be more to save Pendy that for Patty. Patty is still a D-Leaguer and Armon may be a long-term NBA guard in the league. Wesley Matthews and Roy can play the point, so we don't need to carry Patty or Bayless with Dre and Armon.

Wonder when we'll hear about the protection on that pick.

Okay, I had an emotional tirade right there. Here's an idea, could the Blazers have done this to open up more playing time for Rudy since he has been playing so well?

IMO, there's no chance this pick isn't lotto protected.
