my question is....is it because Mixum is a Christian and even though he looks like a man, will ABM still go out on a date with him?

And who do you think provides the value to thread? The OP with only a link that runs away when being called out or the regular posters here who use facts and statistics to back up their claims?

Admit it, what you said was beyond foolish, "admin".

Maybe we should have a list of posters Ed thinks bring value to the board and those who don't. That way, if we're on the "non value" list, we can decide if we want to stay on board and work on our value bringing skills, or go elsewhere.

    ;)

Actually, I understand completely what Ed O. was saying. Plus, here we are in a 123 post thread on a Monday night...

Or, maybe you could start your own forum.

First God made The DARPANETS and Email 2 The net was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the packets. 3 And God said, "Let there be discussion"; and there was usenet. 4 And God saw that the usenet was good; and God separated the discussion from the rabble 5 God called the usenet Day, and the packets he called TCP/IP. And there was World Wide Web and there was forums and there was articles, one day. 6 And God said, "Let there be a RSS reader in the midst of the discussion, and let it collect the articles and the forum discussions and the emails and the usenet.

And they lived happily ever after.

I read S2 in my RSS reader, btw.

nah. I'd probably stop wasting my time on a message board that doesn't make me a better blazer fan, and doesn't really provide anything for me outside of a lazy outlet for humor and blazer related talk.

especially if it's deemed I don't provide any value to the board (which isn't saying much, I really don't offer much of value to the board, outside of sarcastic comments and the occasional random reference).

From an introspective level, what value to you think you are adding to the board by participating in this thread?

EDIT - I saw your self-deprecating portion of your post. You get it. Carry on, my wayward son!

I think this is kind of like "cabin fever". We've all been without Blazer basketball for so long, even the preseason games were not televised, and we're all a little irritable without our "fix". Hopefully the start of the season tomorrow will get us all back to talking basketball.

On a sidenote, i live in what is basically a third world country; it's mean, dirty and corrupt. It would be so nice to escape onto this forum and not see people call each other "high" or "stupid" or say they are "full of shit".

It was before the excon Yanukovich came in and is taking control of every branch of the government, and limiting freedom of expression and freedom of assembly.

Bayless, Webster and Howard were, due to injuries, the 6th, 3rd, and 5th best player we had for multiple games. You're comparing them to #15, 8 and 10.

    Here's our depth:
Starters of Roy, Miller, Batum, LMA and Camby. I've seen nothing to show that they're worse or injured this offseason (aside from Camby's healed groin). Does Canzano have inside info on that? B/c everything the O's posted has said that Roy's in great shape. On the Blazers' Preseason show it showed how he worked with Medina and Todd all offseason getting quicker and a stronger core. Batum's healthy after playing well in the Euro Champs. LMA is even supposedly better around the rim.
1st man off the bench (guard): Probably Wesley Matthews. Overwhelmingly perceived as a great addition and versatile guard who can play and defend the 1/2/3. Last year we had Rudy in this role.
1st man off the bench (big): Until Greg and Joel come back, it's probably Dante. Last year when we had our injuries, it was Pendergraph. I take Dante. When Przy comes back it's Przy. I take Przy. When Oden comes back, it's probably Oden. When Oden gets into game shape, it's Camby. That's pretty good.
Next guard: Rudy. Taking the Bayless spot. Rudy>Bayless in the Portland offense.
End-of-rotation: Johnson and Babbitt, until the bigs get back. Then, deep bench.
Oberto is an emergency, much like Howard was. The difference is that Oden and Joel aren't out for the year. Oberto won't have a chance to start 27 times like Juwan did. And if it gets to the point where it looks like he might, we have an extra draft pick to use in a trade. YAY!
