Bulls 2-12 from 3pt. They need to be a lot better than that to win against good teams.

Rose hurt us, no doubt, but we got nothing from Brewer and Bogans.

We could have used Boozer in a game like this! We settled for jumpers and when we missed, it lead to fast break pts for the Thunder. Boozers low post game could have helped! I am not saying we would have won, but the Thunder would not have ran away with it at the end.

    Wow, where to start:

-Ball movement: None whatsoever. I can argue the Bulls were better when Rose was on the bench. They were swinging the ball across and exeuting the pick and roll. When he came on, it was just isolations. Horrible. Rose was great the 1st quarter, then played like a loser the next 3. And I'm a huge Rose fan.

-Bench: Korver and Taj (true bench player anyways) have no awareness whatsoever on the court. They need to know at all times where everyone is, where they should position themselves, and what to do before the ball comes their way. Watson was ok, but he took too many shots for my liking.

-Defense: Rose just got destroyed by Westbrook. It's as if he learned nothing from the USA camp when guys like Chauncey and Rondo were there. He got outrebounded and bullied in the blocks, he didn't bother jumping for some that went his way vs. Westbrook, and he looked lethargic halfway through the 4th. It's as if he was simply waiting for the ball to come back to the Bulls only for him to take one of his 31 shots. And as a team, the amount of fouls the Bulls commited shows they need more discipline on D.

None of the wings did a great job on Durant, but I didn't expect them to either. Brewer is clearly not ready, but I never thought he was that good to begin with. Korver can't defend to save his life, Taj was OK on D, but nothing to write home about.

The only real bright spots were Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah who were beasts on the boards and never gave up on the plays. They really kept us in the game. Thibs needs to have a nice long talk with Rose about taking that many shots and not getting his teammates involved. I haven't seen someone since Allen Iverson literally pass the ball only to expect it back 3 second later. Holy shit.

Cheer up, guys. I found this in the RSS thread:

To celebrate the tip-off of the 2010.11 season, Bulls forward Carlos Boozer will be on hand on Wednesday, November 3 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Sprinkles Cupcakes store to unveil a special Red Velvet Cupcake adorned with the Bulls logo.
