It's early, but this is still a promising sight

And clearly Houston is the worst team in the league.

Funny thing is, I'm really not too happy with how they are playing, but they are still winning. I like aspects of how they are playing, and Brandon is playing well, but it seems like almost everyone else has had one good game and one not so good game.

Winning when you are not playing at your peak is impressive, and gives me hope that once things start clicking, this team could really go on some killer runs.

Nic has been good both of the games. He's playing his game, and he's actually getting minutes.

Well, some of that might be attributed to two games in two nights.

Both the Blazers and the Ducks at the same time! It's too much.

I watched the NOH game to see how JBay would do. Based on what I saw the pick looks awesome to me. Two walks, rough decisions, trying to ram the ball through defenders to the rim and never mind the block against him. He did not look like he made any progress over the summer. Giving him a break that he's in a new situation, I still see this as a good long term move.

It looks nice but I doubt the Blazers go 82-0. What DOES look real good to me are the rebounding numbers.

I love Nic's play so far this year. Not that I expect him to but if he rebounds at his current rate so far this year or even close to it we should out-rebound our opponent every night. When you have Camby 10+ rebounds, LA 9+ rebounds, Oden 10+ rebounds, Prz 8+ rebounds and then our small forward Batum is grabbing 7+ rebounds that is crazy. And we have pretty rebounding guards too.

I also really hope that he can continue hitting the 3 ball at a good rate like he has so far. It changes our team and what we can do quite a bit if he can become a consistent threat from 3.

I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps the team just looks more mature, or even more confident? Or maybe I have more confidence in the players these days? Whatever it is, they don't seem frazzled when faced with adversity, and as a fan, I feel relaxed when watching them play, even when they are behind.
