It's early, but this is still a promising sight

...However, the BCS computer rankings have us at 26, so we'll have to settle for a top 10 ranking. :sigh:

Very good observation. The phrase that comes to me is - this is a veteran team that knows how to win. They just do. They just keep it going close until it's time to stamp their feet on the game - and then they take over.

I bet that as the rotation is more settled and they are more in flow - we will see some serious "take them behind the shed and punk them" games where they kill people from the get-go.

Kind of reminds me of the old Spurs teams. They let you hand around for a while until it's time to finish it.

My only concern is understanding which teams you can get away the "turning it on" theory and which teams you better bring it to from the get go.

i like their formula for winning thus far. Keep it close until the 4th then ratchet up the D/effort to pull away for the W.

The league likes to keep things close for the fan's competitive viewing experience, so if a team starts pulling away early most likely they find themselves reeled back in by a flurry of calls... this is especially true on the road

I have a feeling that they will lose to Denver next. Ouch, Houston 0-3 !

Pulling out games at the end has been a Blazer trademark for a few years now. Two years ago I think we lead the league in games where we had to come back from being down by 10 or more.
