Wednesday, we got Blake Griffin's home debut for the Clippers. Tonight, we have Amare Stoudemire's home debut for the Knicks. Last season, we got destroyed by the Knicks here in NYC. Tonight is our chance for revenge.

oh man.... i remember that game. i was there. it was the first game without oden. we got killed by the 3 ball. roy and la played awful. we were without Rudy, Oden, Batum, Outlaw for that game. This is teh first time in 3 years i wont be at msg for teh blazers game. long train ride back to ct on that cold monday night last year. not to mention i almost broke my ankle ice skating. lets just say it wasnt my idea.

EVEN NATE WAS NOT THERE. Thats when he blew out his achillies in practice.

Watch a guy named Landry Fields for NYK. He's a 2nd round pick in this past draft and he's starting at SG for NYK. He's probably the best rebounding 2 guard in the league and is great defensively. Walsh got a steal with this guy, he was a stud at Stanford, but was overlooked because he was on a shitty team.

I have a friend who was a fan of Fields and was raving about him all season and so I watched one game towards the end and was seriously impressed. I was mainly watching so that I could make fun of my friend for having no bball sense, but I just couldn't, the dude is good. He was tenacious and could score a different way every time. But, I do remember thinking that he did not seem too athletic or quick, which is certainly needed at SG. He just seemed like he knew how to move to get his room. Although, people say the same thing about Roy (who is athletic, but just does not show it sometimes) that he moves in a way to get an advantage instead of out-quicking opponents.

Awesome intro for the Knicks. It's crazy. We're gonna be a part of 3 home openers to start out the season.
