So far Im really thinking Memphis, Hornets, and Golden State have very good chances of making the playoffs. 1 of the 3 I named likely wont get in but I have to wonder if we might see some new blood in the playoffs this year. As long as paul stays healthy... hornets are in. The west is freaking brutal. Who in the blue hell said it got weak? Were they on drugs? I mean theres no slam dunk wins.... maybe minny but even they look ok. Sac town will be a battle and you know Houston will get going. The clips look lousy but its early.

Question is.... who do they replace should at least 3 new teams make it?

Who said the West was weak? I think you just make up stuff sometimes. You're the one on drugs, buddy.

None of those teams are making the playoffs! You come on here after 4 days into the season and just because these teams start off well they are making the playoffs........ sounds about right.

We've only played a couple of games. I highly doubt that Memphis or Golden State is making the playoffs. New Orleans is a wildcard.

What about the Clippers? They have a pretty solid lineup too. I guess the question is, can Baron Davis get his head right? He should go see the same shrink Ron Artest did. They live in the same town.

the grizz were right on the verge last year if you remember. the hornets IF healthy are very dangerous and GS can score at a ridiculous rate. clippers dont have enough to get in IMO.

Memphis was only on the verge until about February, down the stretch when the intensity ramped up they folded and finished sub .500 for the year. They lack the leadership to be real threats IMO, and they don't have all that much internal talent development left to help take the next step either.

Jazz And Rockets are in too big a hole to come back and make playoffs. Nuggets will dive after Melo trade.

I haven't watched Golden State this year, so I am going to withhold judgement on them right now, but if they are still playing Nellie ball, then good luck with that. In order to make the playoffs you have to play some defense.

I think Memphis has a decent chance at making the playoffs. San Antonio and Phoenix are lesser teams this year. The Clippers have good players, but no direction yet. They have a slim chance. It'll be interesting to see who the playoff teams are this year. I think there will be a couple of surprises.

I think only NOH is the real threat for the playoffs from this group, but it is still early, I guess.

Maybe they will, maybe they will not.

At about the halfway point yes. They finished 10 games out of the last playoff spot though.

Watch them tonight against the Lakers. They play a little more defense than they did for Nellie.

Do not need to even lock him in it. Just put pictures of Bobby Medina on the walls and he will never leave - even if "these doors need to stay unlocked at all business hours".

Things that are exciting so far this season:

    1) the Warriors emergence as a top 3 seed in the West (Portland and New Orleans the others)

    2) the Indiana Pacers have become odds on favorites to win the Central Division

    3) Luis Scola's emergence as a top 5 player in the league- 27.3 ppg (5th in league), 14.0 rpg (3rd in league)

    4) John Wall running away with rookie of the year honors- 9.0 apg (5th in league) and 67% from 3pt line (2nd in league)

    5) Darko Milicic (3.3 blocks per game) becoming a better defender than the player picked in front of him. LeBron may have MVP awards, but we all know defense wins championships. LBJ: 0, Darko: 1 and counting
