117 and 2 TDs today. Good to see him doing well after not getting drafted, I've been a fan since he punched that guy who tried to talk shit to him.
I never had a problem with the punch. I thought the guy deserved it, and I respected Blount for not throwing some sissy jab or pushing him. If you're going to throw a punch, throw a punch. The problem was going after the fans. He totally lost control and that was what cost him.

I'm glad to see this. Kelly made a big mistake in his handling of the situation. You have to learn that you can never appease people like Canzano...if you give in, it only empowers them. Only losers need to curry favor with the media. Win games, and you won't need their favor!
yeah without LaGarrette last year the running game sure did suffer Kelly handled the situation surrounding Blount's punch just right. Blount completely lost his composure but at least no one was truly hurt by his freak out. Firm discipline sets an example/lesson for the players that follow too. As far as appeasing the media crap piles like Canzano... every newspaper has one. I think Kelly delivers a pretty good Heisman stiffarm to those guys when he's confronted which keeps them in their place STOMP
At any other school, he gets something like a 2 game suspension. The fact that Blount (and Massoli) proved to be replaceable shouldn't really enter into it.
to call Kelly's handling of a situation a "big mistake" when things worked out in spades doesn't made sense. If things didn't work out then maybe I'd agree with you, but they did... STOMP
I thought Blount got what he deserved. He put a big black eye on the organization on national TV. He completely lost control, and I think the punishment completely fit the crime. It was the right thing to do.
