    What is wrong with that post? Sly's post was a passive-aggressive attack toward Maris, MM, and myself, and I didn't attack the poster. Did you seriously try and edit it? Why?

    I'm not a fan of suspending or banning anyone unless they have personally threatened someone or created a safety risk in some way. If something is over the top regarding a respected man like Lucas, isn't that what ignore is used for??

    No, I didn't see the post and I don't care to. Was it an attack on Lucas or directed towards a poorly performing Blazer team? Big difference.

    Either way, it's your site. Run it as you see fit but keep in mind, exercise too much control and posters will just go elsewhere.
    I think ya'll do a nice job.

    Mixum walks a very fine line between being a "realistic" fan and just being annoying to push buttons. When you walk that line sooner or later you slip and cross it.

    I don't know what MIXUM said, but I've never seen him post the kind of trash that HCP posts about other member's sexual organs, or players having sex with other player's mothers, or personal body functions. To my mind, that is much more offensive than MIXUM's negativity or harsh assessments of the team's prospects.

    That's totally ridiculous. I've seen MIXUM make many insightful comments. Just because you don't agree with him doesn't mean he doesn't contribute to this board.

    while I had no say in Mixums suspension (nor do I want any) I would think/hope intents get taken into account when making those decisions. HCP says crap about my wife all the time, and I say crap about his wife. Never once has anything he said (to me) that was meant to incite a negative reaction. And vice versa. He has been talked to by mods before admittedly. But his intent is never to rile people up. Mixum's has been. That is the difference in my opinion.

    Who cares about "intent"? It's almost impossible to judge anyway, since you can't read someone's mind. The only thing we can judge is what appears on this board, and I find HCP's comments very offensive. If you guys want to have a jock-pulling contest about your wives, why not do it on your own time, not on a board we all have to share?

    while I agree that intent is hard to judge. With HCP it really isnt. At least not that I have noticed. I guess the finding it offensive can be viewed the same as someone finding swearing offensive. But I'm sure if you have THAT much of a problem with it... moderators of this section of the forum will hear what oyu have to say.

    This is what the ignore feature is for imo. If you find HCP's posts to be offensive then just put him on ignore. I don't put MIXUM on ignore, because I'm interested in seeing what he has to say. With that said, I found his comments yesterday to be uncalled for and suspension worthy.

    Mixum is guilty of poor choice. Even, though he may not have been emotionally low at the death of Lucas, others are affected. He should have been more sensitive. Suspension? Fine. Ban? No. He's irritating, but not dangerous.
