    That's not true. Posts get edited, people get warned, and hopefully suspensions will be handed out if the behavior continues. Quite frankly I'm tired of all the bickering. I'm tired of all the name calling. I don't expect people to like each other, but I expect them to be civil. If you don't agree with someone, that's completely fine, but I'm tired of threads being derailed with useless bullshit cat fights. This forum has very lax rules, and I think that's a good thing because I like the ability to be myself on here... but I think some people abuse that right. We've lost some great posters over the past couple years because they couldn't stand it anymore. That saddens me.

    I think you get attacked quite a bit MM, and I don't approve of it. I think some people on this board do not approve of a cynical attitude towards the team, and that's unfair. There are positive people in life, and cynical people in life. I tend to be cynical by nature, but I try to keep it in check. I don't always succeed and I've bumped heads with people in the past, STOMP being one of them. I lose my cool sometimes, and I really shouldn't let emotions get the best of me, but I don't resort to name calling or personal attacks. I have some pretty big black marks on my record because of battles with PapaG and I'm not proud of them. I definitely contributed to the drama on this board, and I apologize for it.

    We've let a lot of things slide here, but I think it's time that people are held accountable for their actions.

    This is quite a coincidence.. I know how to say one phrase in Farsi, and that phrase is "you're gay". You can credit that to having two Iranian friends since i was 10.

    Let me get this straight. HCP has an avatar of him pretending to punch Maurice Lucas, but MIXUM is the one who got banned for being "insensitive." Do I have that right?

    Luke was a friend of his. Maybe that's the only picture he has of them together. I get that you're just trying to make a point, but if you don't see the difference then I can't help you.

    Would you care to inform the ignorant as to how an avatar portraying a poster as assaulting a recently deceased man is less offensive than a post suggesting that a basketball team's lack of effort was disgraceful? Because HCP knew him? How is that picture portraying friendship? Does this mean that he and Trevor Ariza are buddies too?

    I wouldn't go so far as to insult HCP for the picture, but I see where Shooter is coming from. When I saw that avatar, I was a bit taken aback; moreso than when I saw MIXUM's suspension-inducing posts.

    In all seriousness, what makes one OK but the other unacceptable?

    Is it at all possible that MIXUM was actually honoring Lucas by pointing out the apparent lack of effort last night by the team compared to the intensity that Luke was known for during his playing days? Since we've apparently veered into 'context' as a moderating tool.

    Because one was done in malice, to provoke a reaction. The other was done because he's a friend and he's mourning a loss. You don't see the difference between the two? Do you think HCP has that as his avatar to cause pain to others? Maybe he doesn't realize that people find it offensive. I'm sure he would change it if he were asked to.
