At least he's in the East now. Didn't the Bucks essentially get him for short-term contracts? Their bench would be brutal w/o him.

I think as long as Dante is in the game, they should be looking for that mid-range jumper. He's automatic. I swear, I wonder what percentage he shoots on that shot.

no it doesn't. Portland is a solid jump shooting team... they've many players who can drain. If they're hitting at the sort of rate they usually do the D plays up on the shooters which sets up their drives, cuts & post ups.

how do you think they've won at the rate they have the last couple years?

    Wes looking solid

You know what though, when the jumpers AREN'T falling is when we start to hear the old "we're a jump shooting team" stuff. When we're on, people love it.

Sure they have a lot of great shooters. But how have they done in the playoffs? It was just a day ago this team got creamed because their jumpers weren't falling and they had nothing to fall back on. Not just beat. But got their ass handed to them. Good teams have a paint game to fall back on. Good players start to get to the rim when their jumper isn't falling. When Portland's jumpers aren't falling, game over.

It's not that every shot needs to be a post up, but we take a lot of jumpers against the clock with pressure. I've got no problems with taking the wide open J, but that's the exception lately.

That's why I miss Bayless, and why I hated trading him in the first place.

    Link anyone?

Haha. Mixum gets suspended and craigehlo instantly reappears with an identically accurate summation of the team's shortcomings.

Watch out c.e., dissent is not welcomed here.

Boston is a jump shooting team, so is LA.... is the Heat going exclusively to the low block? Dwight can't do much if the rest of the Magic isn't hitting their shots

without Greg Portland is an outside in team. Why pay attention to the white noise of critics like they matter?

With Brockman in the game, it's time to attack the rim. That guy is the worst center I've seen this season.

I wouldn't use Miami as an example. They push the ball a lot, and James/Wade/Bosh can all get in the paint. Wade is one of the best slashing guards in the league.

Most good teams don't have their top 2 Centers out because of injury. It also doesn't help that our PF prefers to play outside.

Chicago is just as much a jumpshooting team as the Blazers, they just happened to make their shots last night.
