It has to be something. From blazersedge - Lakers columnist's twitter @KevinDing Artest speculated Brandon Roy has an unpublicized back or knee injury: "I’ve played against Brandon Roy a lot of times. He wasn’t himself." Something is going on, that's for sure.
http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2010/11/roy_amiss_and_a_miss_and_a_mis.html This does not sound good.
"Seems from all the talk, they didn't need the old Brandon Roy, they wanted a new one, a different one," Roy said. "So I'm trying to adjust to what they need." wow
Something tells me the Lakers wanted to make an example out of this Blazers team. All they probably get to hear about is how the Thunder and the Blazers might be able to knock them out. Combine some motivation, Roy looking ... I don't know what, and the team limping in with no front-court depth and on the second night of a back to back and, well, this is what you get. The Blazers have some chinks in their armor, there are some real concerns and they are not on the same level as the Heat, Celtics or Lakers, but they're not this bad.
Crap... that does NOT sound good. But what I take away from it is now it's just mental with him, and there's nothing wrong too physical that he can't do what he did in the past anymore. He just doesn't want to do it, and is pouting again. C'mon Brandon...
In fairness (or not) that was about the fans... not coaches etc... still think it makes him sound like a complete dick
translation: "I can't play next to a ball dominant point guard" Other translation: "Cho, trade Andre Miller ASAP, or this is what you're going to get from me" Am I close?
Brandon Roy....good for you. Not like you give a flying fuck. You get to pocket 85 mil, and we get mediocrity for 5+ years from this team....
Translation: When I say what I feel people get pissed. Translation: You didn't like what I had to say so this is what you get - deal with it. And McMillan just looks like an idiot here: LOL what game are you watching? Jesus that's hysterical.
I mean, that's true right? People wanted him to adjust and change. He shouldn't have. He is a ball dominant player and an iso player. Him trying to change makes the team worse.
It probably didn't help either seeing his buddy Blakey tonight on the other team, and remembering the good times...
