I would do this trade in a quick second. Horford is an absolute beast and the defensive anchor on that Hawks team. He's shooting close to 65% from the field and is a beast in the paint and has range out to about 16 feet. His contract is also a lot more reasonable than LMA's even though Horford has actually been an AS. Not sure why Atlanta would want to do it. But, it would be awesome if we could make something work. Aldridge's act has grown old to me. I'm just not impressed like some of you are.
This is the only one I could get to work in the 5 minutes I was willing to try: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2b3eovo
The trade above actually gives the Hawks 2 more expiring contracts to combine with Jamal Crawford's. Since they just signed Joe Johnson to a max deal maybe they want/need some cap room? I don't know, I just like doing the trade machine for fun.
Cavaliers trade? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=39wrkg2 Sorry for using this thread for random and unlikely trades.
So Horford is younger, produces better and is on a smaller contract. And you're not sure why Atlanta would do it. Me neither.
you do realize dude is still on his rookie deal right? He's from the same rookie class as Greg. The last time you made this same empty point this was pointed out to you by multiple posters... are you choosing to overlook this fact or did you just forget? Rest assured with the way the market for decent Bigs has gone since LA signed, when Al signs his next deal shortly it will exceed LA's. while you're at it, why don't you tell us all which is your favorite college hoops team? We're all on the edge of our seats dying to know STOMP
Instead of trying to be condescending, why not look up any information from the last two weeks. Horford signed a 5 year, 60 million dollar extension. Rest assured. You're wrong. Next time, if you don't know something, don't make a huge attempt to make someone else feel stupid, because you just make yourself look bad.
But that makes him a base year compensation player which makes him even less likely to be traded. It's a good pie in the sky trade idea but reality pretty much makes it completely impossible.
I don't see why Atlanta would make any trades right now, unless they see a hole in their lineup. They're a legit playoff team. They've got their core together and I think they've got a pretty good shot at making some noise in the playoffs.
I'm not talking about likeliness of a trade at all. Just saying he has a new contract, and to mock another poster for commenting on contract status without knowing what they're talking about is stupid.
