I didn't figure they would, but hey, why not try?

Seriously though, I'm wondering if we could get Iggy without losing Camby and Miller? We could do it if we used some of our rookies. I suspect it might take Miller and Joel at the very least. If that's the case, could Johnson hold down the point guard spot?

I think part of the reason that I want Iggy is so that he can re-unite him with Miller. Thats when Iggy played his best ball, they both love to get out and run. Imagine Oden with the rebound, outleting to Miller who has options of Iggy and Batum slashing to the hoop on the wings. I say let go of Pryzbilla, or even Camby if it comes down to it before Miller. I think Miller has a lot of good basketball left in the tank, he doesn't exactly put a ton of stress on the body with his playing style.

But if we trade Camby and Joel, which is a possibility, who plays center? I don't think I could live in a world where I could hear:

"Starting at center, Number 4, Seaaaaaaaaaan Maaaaaaaaaarks."

Hope Oden becomes healthy. Or, sign Dampier who's back on the market.

I honestly think Oden might sit out the whole season. Just a gut feeling.

Gut feelings are no good. I doubt that happens. Then again, I'm partially gutless.

I hope I'm wrong, maybe I'm just becoming extremely cynical. :sigh:

Don't think we'd have to do Joel and Andre. If they just want to shed salary, Joel, Babbit and Williams for Iggy works. Or, we wait until late December, and replace Williams with Mills. Could always put in a pick or something as well. If they wanted to shed more salary, though, to move him, we'd probably have to make a Miller for Williams type of swap or something, which I'm not too fond of.

Joel/Rudy/1st Rounder might get the deal done. I love this deal since it seems like the Camby trade. We add a nice vet that can play defense and start in the likely event that our franchise player at that is down for extended periods.

looking at their roster, they need a 5 bad. And if Iguadala is going out they'd probably want another 2 coming back to ease Turner's rookie year. My guess is a Blazer offer would be built around Joel (if and when he demonstrates some health) and Rudy... Cunningham might hold some interest for them as well

I'd love to get Iggy! Joel/Rudy/Babbit/Williams/NO #1/Por #1 would be awesome; I'd hope we could keep Andre+Camby as Philly wouldn't have much use for either player but they are quite useful for us.

I wonder if we need to wait until Joel comes back and plays to trade him? Is he more or less tradeable if playing?

I think that depends on the team. If a team is just looking for an expiring contract, then it doesn't really matter. Really, they might prefer he not come back at all, and collect insurance. For other teams, they might actually want him tio play C for them, but those teams seem less liekly to make a big deal with, as, if they are looking to add a piece like Joel to help contend, what are they then giving us/getting rid of?
