Wow, a loss to Washington State (1-7 pac-10, 2-9 overall) in Corvallis (11/13/10) was a huge low blow to their season. i agree with Riley, this team has no identity now with only Quizz in the offense. Wow, this team has completely unfolded. This team will lose the next 3 games in a disappointing season and missing a bowl berth. :dunno:

Yeah I watched about half of this game yesterday prior to watching my Ducks. I think you have to give a lot of credit to Washington State though, they've been playing opponents tough, and I think they're turning that program around. They're certainly light years ahead of where they've been the last several seasons, and even early this year.

The best thing the Beavers can do now is just forget that game and move on to next week. Don't let anyone tell you different: you have one of the best players in college football in Quizz Rodgers. And I still think you have a number of very capable weapons on offense (Katz, Wheaton, Halahuni, etc). But it all starts at the line of scrimmage, and from what I saw, the Cougars were pretty much dominating it on both sides of the ball (again give them some credit). Wazzu was consistently getting good pressure on the QB, and they couldn't open up anything for Quizz (who doesn't need much to begin with). But if the Beavs can get their lines sorted out, then SC, Stanford, and my Ducks are going to have a very tough game ahead.

Quizz isn't even close to what he was last year.

Two words that explain that: Sean Canfield.

There's a good chance we'll finish the season losing 5 in a row. Up next is USC, then Stanford, then the Civil War.
On the bright side, we should hopefully be much better next season if the Rodgers brothers both come back. We dont lose any other key players.

Thats nice and all. But, you guys really need help on the defensive end. It became apparent to me after I watched the Louisville game.

So true. The offense should be a good deal better next year, with the Rodgers brothers and Katz and the other receivers hopefully improving, but the defense is atrocious this year. And it's actually been pretty darn good in recent years. It was kind of unlucky that our best linebacker and best pass rusher just decided to leave football before this year.

David Pa'aluhi left the team to join the army.

Matt LaGrone left the team to become a minister.
