Why did we draft Luke Babbitt?

I don't think the focus here should be about Webster at all - it's why babbit? would not a C prospect like Seraphin been better?

Maybe it is the type of deal that playoff teams make to keep from rebuilding. Also with an eye for the future. Too early to tell as usual.

Because KP sucked. It is only becoming more obvious as time goes by how bad of a drafter KP was. Every year we get to watch as players develop it will be worse.

Hey how is that draft pick Viktor Claver doing? Oh he is stinking it up in Europe as a second stringer?

If you're going to be the Eyore of the board, at least make an effort to be remotely accurate, ok?

    Elliot Williams is hurt.
    Greg is hurt.
    Joel is hurt.
    AND Roy is hurt.

    Go Blazers

PS: We didn't draft Babbit, we traded for him.

Yeah but we likely could have had Minny pick whoever we wanted so basically Babbit was "our pick" as a player.

I think Wes was penciled in for the minutes Gomes would have gotten. We all wanted Batum to get more minutes and they targered Wes early on to get back up minutes at the 2/3. The fact that Roy is injured and Rudy is still on the team changed things a bit. But once again it proves why CONSOLIDATiNG would have been risky. That quality player you traded everyone for goes down and you are screwed.

Look our bench needs a go to guy. No doubt. But ideally you always have a starter in to be that guy. In any case the decision to draft Babbitt is meaningless to the success of this team this year. They have other issues.

Webster was the most inconsistant Blazer I can recall in over a decade.

Good guy but not a very good player.

But you are correct about Babbit.

If you look down the bench and select Marks instead of Babbit then you must think Babbit has no business in the NBA.
Because Marks sure as hell doesn't.

The issue I was addressing was that you said only Roy was hurt, when that's bs.

    Go Blazers

    "Only Roy is hurt"

I know you're just a big *edited* wumming radio dj who can't play "Lady in red" at local proms fast enough.

    But that is absolute bullshit.

"If" we were healthy, Wes, Joel and Marcus Camby would be on our bench.

Because we are not healthy, none of them are.

One final pritch slap. An injured Webster for Babbitt. Both teams got the brunt of that one. Well played KP, well played.

True, I missed that word. Edited now. Unless you feel "radio DJ" is an insult.

You would have to be a real person in order for that to be the case. I've decided that you're actually a computer program set to make frequent, random, aggravating, posts.
