Having a dilemma here, I've come down to these two choices, its either the 13inch MacBook pro or Sony Vaio VPCY2190X (14inch), which when I add more features it comes down to same price of around $1,100.

What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the macbook but is it a big change going from windows to OS?

If you want to play games go PC otherwise Mac simply blows PC away for work.

Not as significant as most would like to think. I recently have had to use a mac at work, after having used PCs all my life. But it's not that different because macs are fairly intuitive.

But I don't think sonys or macs are worth the markup in $$. Similar features/specs can be had for much cheaper if you go for other brands.

    This.

Mac's are extremely overrated, and overpriced. So are Sony.

macs are a lot more streamlined, i love the iphoto versus having to manually do that shit in Windows, i guess you can use picasa....but still...things are so much more integrated together on macs IMO. And I'm traditionally a PC guy.

It all depends what your using it for? I'm a graphic artist so Mac was the way to go, but (like was said) if your gonna use it for games go Sony.

I used to do some graphic design, and I didn't think the adobe products worked well with Mac's OS.

Yes. We know how the design community hates Apple.

I had to look this up!

A passionate fan of various elements of geek culture (e.g. sci-fi, comics, Star Wars, video games, anime, hobbits, Magic: the Gathering, etc.), but who lets his passion override social graces.
At the mall I almost got mowed over by some Dragonball Z fanboy on his skateboard.

Do they? I don't really talk with them much. All I know is my own personal experience.
