Also I think it's a big deal that Miami has fired their coach as we both have a lot of interest in the same prospects. I heard Miami was a serious contender for the Serra Trio and Farmer was quoted as one time as saying "we" in regards to Miami.
Well, if we're going to lose out on the Serra trio, I'd rather they go to the SEC or somewhere far away.
a nice read from a local Iowa paper on Ebert's background http://www.press-citizen.com/articl...280351/Penn-St-Oregon-interested-in-ex-Trojan STOMP
Bigelow has a blown out ACL so he'll redshirt for sure next season. But good things come to those who wait, dude looks like he has elite speed STOMP
well Costa reportedly was faster then Thomas this offseason despite having had how many ACL reconstructions? 3 I think. If memory serves Frank Gore of the 9ers had multiple ACL surgeries that kept him from playing much in college but he's been plenty fast and durable in the pros. Anyhoo, it probably won't make BB go faster but if it goes the way you'd hope he shouldn't be any slower because of it. The real downsides of these sorts of injuries is that there is less to cut in the future and he's more likely to have more knee problems. I'm not sure of this but this might already be his 2nd ACL surgery. STOMP
Excellent! DT has been a glaring weakness this year. Long are the days of Olshansky, Ngata and Saivii
Damn Bigelow is fast. He beats defenders that have great angles on him, but blows right by him with pure speed. It should be illegal for Kelly to have this much speed. If Bigelow and Blackmon commits Kelly will have Lache, LaMichael, Barner, Huff, Sumler, Bigelow, and Blackmon.
We also have Kenny Rowe and Zac Clark leaving. I'm guessing Heimuli takes over for Clark while Dion Jordan moves up on the depth chart.
Shelton would be a great DT. Stats show him at 286#, but he dropped weight for wrestling. He's be a nice gap filler at 290-300. I appreciate what Bair does, but at 260, he can sometimes be found out of position. Seems like a hard-working guy who makes the most of what he has, and he's having a nice year, but I specifically watched him in last years RB and it was rough...
Bair is 2nd in the PAC10 in tackles for loss with 11 solos. It's my guess he'll be All PAC 10 1st team this year and probably the top Duck selected in the NFL draft... he's been a lot more then adequate http://www.pac-10.org/Portals/7/images/Football/2010-Stats/HTML/CONFLDRS.HTM here's a link with some more accurate weights of guys this spring http://www2.registerguard.com/cms/i...s/a-few-notables-from-offseason-conditioning/ thats been true for some time... he committed right after they offered thinking it would be his only PAC10 offer. Since then he's received attention from several other big time programs including Oregon and has said his Husky commitment is soft and he'll take a few officials including one to UW before truly deciding. As best I can read the tea leaves he's very high on Oregon and probably has the Ducks as his leader. Among the Duck pros and cons, a prospect with an injury history has to be impressed with their tip top medical facilities. His WR teammate BJ Kelley has long been a Duck lean too... he was supposed to be with BB on this trip but their HS team has been advancing in the playoffs so he'll be taking an OV later STOMP
And they just come rollin' in. Are we a possibility for a top 5 class? I'm guessing top 10 is close to a lock if the leans come our way?
