In addition, possibly thursday's against Orlando due to the death of his Grandmother-in-law. My condolences. http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2010/12/more_bad_news_for_the_trail_bl.html
I don't mean to sound callous, but perhaps two games missed for his Grandmother-in-law? I've had to barter to go to my own grandmother's funeral in my younger corporate days, and I was making a fraction of what Joel is making.
No, the thursday game is the day before the Phoenix game. It's game one of a back-to-back. So definitely out 12/10, possibly out 12/9 as well for the funeral service.
So, they couldn't have the funeral on Saturday if it was that important to Joel? Next game isn't until Sunday.
I just saw Joel suited up and on the bench. I guess he's playing then? edit - today isn't December 10th
I lost all of my own grandparents and one parent before I turned 30. I guess I'm just hardened a bit toward losses like these. I wish nothing but the best toward Joel and his family. If he needs to miss two games, I guess I shouldn't judge.
Cold bloooodded. Joel needs to be there especially for his wife. This is bigger than basketball or work.
Wait, so you cry when someone mentions lupus on here, because your kid also has lupus, but then you're going to criticize someone for missing time due to a death in the family? Douchebag.
Guess so. But then again, I walked it back. I'm hardened to bad news, I suppose. Was the "douchebag" part necessary, considering I backtracked? Or, did you not make it that far? I had to miss a grandfather's funeral because I was poor and in college, and accepting money for a flight would have been an NCAA violation. What's your glitch, RR7?
I didn't bring it up, and I backtracked my earlier post. RR7 clearly has an issue with me and my kid. I agree with you, though.
