When I did legs Friday night, was doing everything about at 100% or better until the last set. Could only put up about 50% of my previous workout on it. Saturday was spent in bed with one of the worst 24 hr flu bugs I have ever had. Still recovering and hope to get back into the gym today. On the plus side, I have lost 5 pounds in five days.
Sure it wasn't food poisoning? Got FP from Taco Bell once. Everything that went down came back up 5 minutes later. Not fun.
Got a great workout in today. Also, I decided to purchase my first pre-workout drink since getting sick. I can't take caffiene like I used to, so I got a supplement that is really low in caffiene. Its called, "Assault" and made by MusclePharm. Tried it for the first time today and I got a really good chest workout in. I'm back baby! And aint no one stoppin me! (channeling my inner Ric Flair)
Still hurting and felt different from other times I have had food poisoning. Thinking it may not have even been the flu. Have been recovering from a bowling injury for some time now and it may have something to do with the physical therapy I have been getting. Felt great in my stomach and bad in the back before my session today and it reversed during the session. She said getting nausaus was common with the exercises she was having me do. Think I will try a workout tomorrow and just deal with it if I throw up.

I'm miserably sore from my chest and tricep workout yesterday. Day off is well needed. What do you guys do when your really sore? I always take a super hot bath and it seems to take my mind off the kinks in my muscles. I also have a couple vicodin's left over from my surgery days.
Hot tub, rest, and Motrin. Always save my narcotics for the major pains. Will also row if it is upper body and bike if it is legs.
Resistance bands seem to do the trick sometimes. Lots of stretching post leg days is also really helpful(Leg pain is always the worst)
Leg days are the absolute worst. It seems no matter what I can never get the soreness to go away. I've always had naturally strong legs and about a year ago when I'd do 1 rep max days I could barely walk the next day. It was that bad.
It really depends on what your looking to with your workouts. For me, I always look to jump weight on all exercises and I've noticed the harder I work legs the more gains I get in every other exercise.
I just man out the pain, I actually love it, makes me feel accomplished. Took a good two-day break this week and went last night. Always takes me a couple of gym sessions to get back into the rhythm though.
I worked out today too.. GOD IS GOING TO SMITE ME! I only did a small workout though, cause I played basketball for 2 hours first.
My reasons aren't religious. More to do with Sunday being a day I just lay around and do jack shit. You know, lazy Sunday's. It used to be because I was too hungover to go to the gym, but now I don't drink nearly as much as I used to. Sunday is a good day for a cheat meal, order a pizza, buy a bag of ganja, rip some buds and watch football. Then Monday, start back into the workout routine again.
I know. Well, I didn't actually know, but I was pretty sure it was cause Sunday is usually a lazy day. I only go on Sundays cause I usually don't go on Fridays.
