    10/12, 1/2 from 3 for 31 pts, with 5 rbs, 7 asts in 34 minutes. Go Jerryd.

    Go Blazers

How come you didn't say anything about him when he was 1-9 the game before, or 2-10 two games before that?

Whaaaat!? Bayless had a good game in his NBA career? Get out of here. That said, we could kind of use him right now, however the Hornets may cool off if their ownership situation starts grinding on them.

I'll go with, "I didn't think that was very noteworthy."? I've never been a huge Bayless guy, but I like to see him doing well. Except against the Blazers.

    Go Blazers

That's the problem with Bayless. He hurts you for 3 or 4 games in a row, then has a really nice game and suddenly he's an all-star in people's minds. Then another crappy 3 or 4 games before a good one... it's all fool's gold.

We got rid of Damon to make room for Telfair, we got rid of Telfair to make room for Jack, we got rid of Jack to make room for Blake, we got rid of Sergio to make room for Bayless, we got rid of Bayless to make room for Matthews.

When we got rid of Bayless, does that mean we should have brought back Sergio?

Sergio had the 5th, 12th, and 31st greatest-ever Blazer seasons for assists per minute. You won't find Bayless on the list.

I think your reasoning is a little off.... we got rid of Telfair to make room for Roy.

We got rid of Jack because.... he sucks.

We got rid of Sergio because... he sucks.

We didn't get rid of Telfair, Jack, and Sergio "to make room"... we got rid of them because they were bad.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
It's a shame he's 27 years old and pretty much topped out. If he were, say, 22 and around the age of many draft picks from this year, the inconsistency would make sense and there would be the chance of becoming more consistently good as he got closer to his prime.

The weirdest thing about that game was finding out that Ben Wallace had a career high tying 23 points. That just doesn't seem possible IMO. If a guy can get 20 rebounds or more in a game during his prime wouldn't you think he would score more than 23 at least once?

    Bayless sucks.

How would you know? Who told you what it's like to be 27?

Good for Bayless. His inconsistency drove me bonkers.....but even when he was struggling, he played his heart out. That's not something I can say about everybody on the current roster.

    What about Brandon Rush??

12.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 44% three point shooting off the bench.

That's exactly what we need right now. An actual shooter who can score off the bench. Neither Bayless or Rudy were/are that.

Maybe you didn't notice, but wings aren't "exactly what we need right now"...

Maybe you didn't notice but we need someone who can make shots off the bench. The drop off from an injured Roy to a healthy Rudy is horrific. If this team needs ANYTHING right now is a scorer off the bench. Rush is one of the best.

I mean, did you watch the last game? The bench was horrible. We were only good when all 5 starters were in the game.

That's because our backup shooting guard is playing our starting small forward spot. Maybe if we moved Roy to the bench and started Batum again, we'd have some better scoring
