Roy on Monday suggested that after spending the last three seasons going through him, the Blazers no longer have a plan of attack.

“I think some of it is we have to establish what we want,’’ Roy said. “I don’t clearly know what we are trying to establish. I mean, watching the game (against Memphis), do you think I was the go-to guy in the first half?’’

    When told, no, Roy continued.

“Did you think L.A. (LaMarcus Aldridge) was the go-to guy in the first?’’

When told, yes, to an extent, Roy shrugged as if he didn’t agree.

“Look, my thing is, I don’t mind taking the blame, but at least put me in position to take the blame. In the first quarter ... there’s no flow, I’m taking couple last second shots ... I’m playing a Q-Richardson role,’’ Roy said, referring to the Orlando guard who is averaging 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. “Then in the second half, I try to be more forceful, and that’s not my game.’’

Roy was asked if he feels his knees are capable of letting him be a go-to player.

“Yeah,’’ Roy said. “But our style of play, with our personnel, it’s still going to be tough.’’

    So he's a non-forceful go-to guy?

    I don't understand.

Is he taking a dig at Wesley Mathews there by asking who the go to guy was?

I think he's saying he doesn't like to force shots, but Miller pounding the ball for 14 seconds a possession leads to some flaming bag passes. He'd rather be a "go-to" guy who can create for himself or his teammates, not one who is a chucker. Just my take, though.

He wants to be the slow wind of ball domination blowing through the lane!

Good question. I doubt it, though. I think it's Miller, and I think it has always been Miller, at least in Roy's view.

Putting Roy next to Miller forces Roy for the most part to be more of a scorer and that's just not his game. That's more of a role for Carmelo or Durant. Roy in his career has been just as much as a passer as he has been a shooter.

    Keep evaluating, Cho.

BRoy is way too candid for his own good. And he needs to take some accountability.

Roy is clearly frustrated. And we know that his relationship with Andre is delicate at best. So when things aren't going well and Roy speaks out in frustration, I suspect a lot of it will be tossed Miller's way.

I just wish Andre and Roy could get on the same page. Roy goes out of his way to try and make teamates fit in to the Blazer team, yet he hasn't done this with Andre. Is Andre that unapproachable? Has Roy met someone who won't bow down to him and doesn't know how to deal with it?

I don't know what is going on with this team, but as I said before the season starts . . . if your team leader and the vet PG have never had an off court sit down one on one talk, that is a problem.

Oh, I'm sure Andre and Matthews have talked, so that's not the issue.

He plays with the same personnel disadvantages as Rudy, and they play the same now. They both miss most outside shots, and can't get off inside shots. Rudy because of strength, and Roy because he can't pivot.

Surround Rudy with shooters and he, too, will find more undefended openings to shoot. And he costs a lot less.

It's probably true of every player, including Przybilla, who'd turn into a veritable offensive juggernaut if surrounded by 4 excellent outside shooters.
