Anyone still want to put LMA on Amare's level like they did a couple years ago when trade rumors were swirling?

hahahha, someone should dig up those threads to see just how laughable some of S2 posters are

People weren't saying that Aldridge was the better player. They didn't want Amar'e because he was in the last year of his contract and didn't have his extension.

LMA may be soft but Amar'e is a bitch, wouldn't want him on my team

I think a lot here liked the potential of Aldridge over Amare. Haha how funny.

Right? LMA peaked halfway through his rookie season. He seriously has not improved a bit since his rookie year.

Say what you will, he's the strongest trade asset we have, allot of teams would be more than willing to tap his potential

Actually, many people here thought he was a better fit with Oden. There is nothing wrong with that opinion.

I'd take that rental over the contract KP/PA gave LaMarcus. He's a good role player being paid like an All-Star. At least with Amare bolting to NY we wouldn't have yet another bad contract on the books.

Pritchard was taken off of the Roy contract, and I assume the same is the case for LMA's later extension.

Lamarcus is probably the first NBA player ever who topped out skill wise his rookie year.

Funny how alike the two players' stat lines are tonight. Amare had 39 and 10, LMA had 35 and 10. I know Amare brings that game way more often than LMA, but still... funny coincidence that this gets brought up today.

Lamarcus has everything but what I call "A Motor". In football they talk about players, and refer to their motor. Some players, their motor is running every game, every down, every play. Others, their motor is only running sometimes. LA is obviously the latter. He was playing in his home town tonight which is some motivation. In the past, I have seen him have a good game when he gets hammered in the paper or online about not rebounding. But I always end up wondering, why is it that folks have to call him out in order to get him going? Doesn't he have enough motivation without that? The only answer is he has very little motor. It's just not in his mindset.
