    A terrific essay by Walter Russell Mead. His contention is that neither 19th Century Liberalism (i.e. Libertarianism) nor current Liberalism are the answer to increase our prosperity, which is the lynchpin of successful policy. Make sure to read the comments as they're as interesting as the article itself.

    Maxie was just making a subtle point about Liberalism, it ruins everything -even articles about how bad liberalism is. BTW have you ever noticed that you can spell the word Islam using liberalism. Meanwhile you can spell the following word using conservative =erections. Now that is not the Chinese version of elections, it is when you get really excited in the pants.
