Mills is not playing well, shooting 39% and 31% from 3 - I thought this guy was supposed to be able to shoot? Given he gets easily abused on D I think it's time to give Armon another chance. maybe Nate needed to sit him and he has, but damn, AJ plays way better D and was shooting 44% and in a limited sample size 45% from 3? I'd like to see Armon get another chance, patty IMO is not winning the backup PG job

Not yet IMO. He may be missing some easy open shots, but I think we need to let him play through it. The second unit has to have another player who can shoot an outside shot. He is basically a rookie and I think he needs more time to get his confidence. Another few weeks at least.

Why is it ok for Patty to get to play through his struggles, and not Armon? Roy's not here, so we don't need the spot up shooting he supposedly provides

the point I just showed was he CAN'T hit an outside shot, if that's why he's in it's not happening

I like Armon better than Patty over all. But I think he can hit a an outside shot because we have seen him do it. At this point I don''t give a shit about the season stats. Before the last 2 games when he was 0-2 (both games) from the 3pt line, he went 2-3, 1-2, 2-4, and 2-5. So we know he can do it.

Going back to the Sergo/Bayless scenario is not my preference. All I am saying is give him a few more weeks to se what happens before going to Armon. Mills has hit some big 3's in the heat of the game. I would like to give him a longer chance before we bench his ass for a couple of months.

I don't totally disagree with that. But its kind of late now............ "the season is over". Give the young guys a chance?

I'd like to see if he's learned anything during practice, but with as much travelling as this team has done in the past couple of months, I'm guessing real practices have been pretty lean. If Patty continues to shat the bed, then why not, it couldn't hurt (anymore).

You two can have opinions when you get an avatar picture. Not before then.

This brings up a serious problem. When posters don't have avatars, I don't usually look at their names. I get confused.

    Yeah. Avatars should be mandatory.

He may not be the ideal bupg, but I think it is safe to say he can does have a decent outside shot

Not yet. Patty runs the offense better, plays better defense than you see and has great attitude on the floor. I have no doubt AJ will eventually overtake Mills but certainly not now.

In fact, I'm watching Mills defensively dominate Brooks tonight. He's flat out abusing Brooks.

    Not playing well?

Tonight he hit six of twelve shots in just 22 minutes, scored 14 points, had 5 assists and 5 steals.

I think Patty read this thread before the game tonight and came out with fire. He was chuckin it up without a care, and playing good D on a clearly rusty Brooks. It's a tendency that is true with all our players. The more leash and freedom they have, the better they play.

Yeah I kind of want him to be a chucker. He is a scoring PG. When he is on the floor with the second unit he is often the best shooter on the floor, so why not take the most shots? Sure he needs to set up his teamnates too, but they need him to be aggresive. And I think Nate wants that too or he would have stuck with Armon.

Patty may be short, but he has the ability to get open. He showed tonight what he did at St. Mary's, the Aussie team, and the D league. He has range from the 3 line, a 12'-15' pull up jumper in rhythm, and a nice runner off the glass. He just needs more experience to be more consistant. But the bottom line he is quick enough to get open against NBA competition.

Patty plays like a less-talented, righty Damon.
