Anyways, just checked Griffin's splits for this month 22pts/14reb/4asts on 50% shooting for the month of December. Only a rookie. Ridiculous. Special talent.
Hornets lose to the Wolves. That pick is going to be better than most think. A pick in the 10-15 range for a guy that is in the doghouse on a garbage Raptors teams isn't a bad deal at all.
BTW, I'm kidding about Bayless, he seems to have made the most of his opportunities in Toronto when he gets consistent minutes (over 25). When he gets bench minutes he's struggled.
What a great finish to the Sac/Memphis game. One of the best last 2 seconds ever. (Two prayers in 2 seconds) Over all a very exciting last 30 seconds.
I watched the Clipper/Utah game. Blake Griffin does jump out of the gYm. Unbelievable. A lob anywhere close to the basket is money. But he is no all star yet. All his points are hustle points. Down the stretch of close games he is basically a really good role player. No go-to moves and a shitty free throw shooter. I would love to have him on the Blazer team. He fills a stat sheet. (He had 30 pts tonight) But he was useless in crunch time. He plays with so much energy, but he is no all star. Yet....
I watched that game as well and I agree with your analysis. It really sucks that he can't shoot free throws for shit. He gets fouled a lot.
I caught a little bit of the game. Saw the stat that he has the most 20/10 games in the NBA this year. Not bad for only a rookie. I think it also said he's the first big man to average 20/10 as a rookie since Shaq. Special.
Not really. He does shoot (and miss) a lot of FTs though. He's Stern's new poster boy. He gets the benefit of a lot of questionable calls. Anyone breathes on him and it's an automatic whistle. Yet, he's over the back or pushing off on almost every offensive rebound (just ask Andre Miller) and NEVER gets called for it. If he gets this kind of treatment from the refs two months into his rookie season, wait until he's had a couple years of the Stern hype machine pimping him. BNM
